San Juan Lanes Bowling Alley has a great little restaurant in the building. This bowling alley was established in 1960 and there is a retro vibe to the bowling alley area. The restaurant serves breakfast all day and I cannot resist getting the strawberry waffle when I go there. The service is pleasant and quick.
Food is always good and service is great. My grand daughter had a friend come from Kirkland and after a long day at the beach we went bowling what a great time to be had by all, music, food, games and bowling...
Simple menu , great food and gigantic portions , I'm a big man , 250lbs and 6'2" , I couldn't eat it all. Reasonable prices and pleasant staff.
Great! Food came fast, ambiance is clean but retro, prices are reasonable. This alley has a legit diner. One of the best breakfast places in town. I get the sense though that if it was busy the staff would struggle to keep up. I will definitely be making this a regular stop for my husband and I.
This rating reflects the quality of the food we got. My wife and I shared the surf and turf plate, which included two pieces of cod and three chicken strips, toast and tots. The fish was good, the tots and chicken were run of the mill pour from a bag into the fryer food. Good, nothing spectacular. Our friends shared cod, fries, soup and salad and enjoyed their meal as well. The problem was the service. The place was quite empty for lunch on a Saturday and the waitress was very nice. The problem was we had to get their attention to order the food, I had to go up to the counter to ask for a cup of sauce, the lady I asked continued stocking cups until she realized our waitress wasn't going to get it, so then she brought it out. We had to refill our water cups at the filling station at bowling counter because nobody came to do it. We had to flag down our waitress for more tartar sauce after she was done talking to her coworkers behind the counter and then took a bathroom break. She literally was going to walk right past us on her way back from the bathroom and wasn't going to stop and see how we were. Not once did anyone come check to see if we were doing ok unless we flagged them down first. Come for the food, not the service.
Down home chill vibe for a sport island bar & grill...great place for friends & good Spirits!
We came here to try the fish and chips which we heard were awesome! But they were out of fish and many other things! So we settled for a cheeseburger, and that was very good. I asked why are you out of everything? Because today was their last day! They closed down. So bummed that we will never get to try their fish and chips. But more than that, sorry for all those loosing their job.
The fish & chips & clam chowder have been an amazing choice for the 20 years I've been coming here. If I don't order the fish & chips or tater tots if you'd like, then I always order their consistently wonderful breakfast, a ham & cheese omlet with hash browns. I'm sure they have many many wonderful choices on the menu, I just love looking forward to my reliable, scrumptious Fish & Chips or satisfying breakfast. While you're in town, visit 'The Store' for crazy amazing muffins; you'll be hooked for life!!
The food is nice, love their biscuits and gravy in particular. It's a classic as a location. A dining hall in one corner that is rather quiet and nice, bowling in the back with booths lining the edge of the lanes, and an arcade in another corner of the building. Great way to spend an evening.
AMAZING veggie burger and fries, we got a hot fudge sundae and a chocolate cream pie to share, and good thing, they were HUGE! Best sundae I've ever had! My husband loved the fish and chips, so did the guy next to us. We sat in the bar and they had TBS playing, that was really nice rather than having 4 different games on. Our service was great they kept the drinks coming and removed the plates quickly. They really made our date night lovely.
