Deliveries are prompt and the people are very friendly and courteous.
Everything happens on time without my having to do anything! Thank you!
This is a terrible supplier. The San Juan Propane Company prompt, friendly local service, sold to AmeriGas.. Since then, nothing but trouble. Their staff is too distant and consequently knows nothing about the islands, the company does not provide fuel in a timely. matter, charges way too much, doesn't answer emails or personal letters or online chats, and their call center is so noisy that you cannot understand more than three words from every sentence uttered by those who answer the phone. I have been on the phone Five Times with them this week and each time I have to repeat all the same information they already have. They have "canned" replies. They don't "get" our situation. I feel I am speaking with robots. If San Juan Propane had told me they were thinking of selling being overtaken by a company in Texas that has no sense of our local situation, I would never have subscribed. Do not sign up for this company.
I called trying to get information about buying 3 - 1000 gallon AUGU or just underground tanks for the company I work with. I was transferred 3 times then got a guy that had a terrible phone connection and sounded like I was putting him out. I asked to be transferred to sales because I only wanted to get information and he was very short and said I had to give all my personal home information. Then I was hung up on.
No. It was a nightmare. I have closed my account with your company.
I called their Customer Service advocates.. to locate the local office number.. I tried three different reps. “Yo” who gave me an inside number hoping they could locate the local office telephone number. “Kyle” answered and after my explanation asked me.. if I knew the local office extension number !! The third was trying but sharedshe does not have access to local office numbers.. I’m now not ever going to establish any business with this hot mess of a business. Friday Harbor WA.
I have been a customer since about 1976. Have enjoyed their service until this year. I waited for the usual post card asking tank status and do I want a refill. I always say yes. They failed to send card and I finally called them to ask when truck would be coming out. Got strange story about checking but inconclusive answer. Turns out they desided to just send emailswhich I never got instead of cards. My tank is now beloy 20% and now they don't fill until April. Went to office and was sort of told that they mah not be servicing the outer islands anymore necause of competition. I hear harbor propane is much more reliable.
After being on hold and then being transferred a few times they said they would not provide service to me because I wouldn't use enough propane and hung up. They asked what appliances I have. I answered a stove and refrigerator. They said I wouldn't meet the minimum requirement so they would not deliver to me. I'm on a non ferry served island. Time for the island to find a different propane company!
I called today to get a fill because I returned from vacation and found the tank at 10%, in other words empty. They stated it would be a week and that I probably had enough... I went through 30% while on vacation for 19 days. I don't think so! I stated that I would have to look for other options, to which they responded that it was their tank and I could not use other companies. They would rather me go without fuel than use a competitor? In the end they delivered fuel to me next day... the driver stated that this is his normal route for for that day... go figure.
Always take care to ensure we are serviced appropriately whether we are on Island or not. A special thanks that he always latches gate back and is careful not to tromp on my flowers. Obvious, he was raised right as well as trained well! Thanks AmeriGas.
