Beautiful library. Quiet and large. Wonderful children's section with its own librarian, games, books and more. Friendly staff. There are also weekly story times that are free to kids and families.
My cat loves this place even though he is hiding inside a carrier... Too hot to stay in the car. One of the best libraries around: Extremely organized and people are mostly polite. About 90F outside, nice and cool inside. Definetely worth visiting!
One of the best public libraries in the SF Bay Area. Clean, modern, easy to use with plenty of tables for studying. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent children’s library within the library itself featuring extensive book collection in multiple languages and computer stations for online learning. Wide ranging DVD collection. Fabulous, though infrequently, open history room for researching San Leandro and Alameda County. Veterans resource center, computer room, cafe and book sale room all on site. Meeting rooms available for rental to the public and community groups.
Myself in another person went in the library today to obtain a temporary library card because when called and explained to them that we were homeless without an address or no ID was told that we could get a 3-month temporary identification to give us time to get proof of address and ID first person had physical ID no proof of address because again homeless sleeping intense I went shortly after only ID was on my phone because everything else had burned in fire and was told that I could not get one because I didn't have proof of residency I said well the guy ahead of me didn't have that either we're in the same predicament and the story was then changed to I had to have some type of picture ID I said I do have one on my phone it's just expired then it was changed too it has to be and not expired one I said well that's not really fair is it because if you're telling us one thing over the phone and we come in and one person was giving it with no problem the only difference is he has his physical ID I don't understand can you explain that to me the Lady Lauren basically told me I can't help you I said what's your policy on people who are homeless you turn their nose up at me and said she could not help me
Would've given 5 stars but just the fact that you have to pay a monthly fee to use some of the resources provided that would normally be free of charge. But thats only if you don't reside or work in San Leandro. Other than that it is a nice and clean library and I do enjoy the space when I visit. And the location is great as it definitely serves the community well. So it's always busy busy
One of my favorite East Bay libraries for getting some work done away from home. It’s clean and well managed. They have work tables with charging lamps that are usually available. They also have a cool housewares and tool lending collection.
Great library with its own small-town feel. Up-to-date materials and facility. Love their little cafe and the bookstore. A perfect place for families and for after school fun. Their summer reading program remains one of my faves throughout the whole bay area!
Nice clean and modern. What is not to like when it is FREE? This is one of a better way government can spend their money.
I went online to check the Estudillo library schedule. It stated open till 8 p.m. today Monday June 19 but It was NOT open.
great facility. clean organized and quiet. nice environment to learn but they give out tickets at their parking lot if you stay more than two hours.
