San Luis Obispo Children's Museum

The Children's Museum is absolutely fabulous. Great for all ages. The director, Madison Graham, perfectly coordinates 3 stories of indoor and outdoor engaging interactive displays and equipment. There is pay parking on the street. Plan at least 1-1/2 hours and even then you'll be back for sure.

My kids age 4 and 10 months both found activities to keep them occupied and had fun but the hours 10 am - 12:30pm then closed until 1:30 made it really difficult to coordinate with nap schedules. We only had about an hour to explore and the person at the front desk gave me attitude when I asked if we could come back when they reopened at 1:30. She said we’d have to pay again if we did that which doesn’t feel super fair. My son really enjoyed “driving” the bus and the motorcycle and it was nice they had a dedicated space for younger kids. Overall the place didn’t feel super clean and there were no paper towels in the women’s restroom.

My daughter absolutely adores this place. The staff are friendly and delightful. It is in the smaller side. Lately the museum has added some new additions such as some out door play equipment and a Lego wall. My grandson had so much fun. Three stories of different activities. The staff were very friendly. There were plenty of restrooms and hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Masks are required so don't forget them.

This is an awesome place for the kids to play and paint. There is so much stuff to do for kids of all ages. It’s 3 stories and an outdoor area. I would highly recommend stopping by.

Amazing place especially if you have kids in your group and want to let them run around for an hour or two

EXPERIENCE: amazing place for kids to explore, learn and have for fun with science and experimenting different careers, like cook, fireperson, doctor and more. COVID-19: the museum is taking all the precautions to ensure the safety and health of everyone: separate and limited session throughout the day, individual play kits and alcohol gel in every corner.

My 21 month old absolutely loved this place! Friendly and welcoming staff!
