Nice little history Musuem with all the old tools and equipment used in the founding of San Luis Obispo. Friendly staff and free admission. Small but informative little museum. They have photos, artifacts, books, and more during the old days of the town. It's a nice quick stop if you have time.
Great, short blast to the past. Especially loved the panorama of SLO from a long time ago!

This place was highly informative. Very educational and entertaining. I was thoroughly impressed with the history of San Luis Obispo and especially enjoyed hearing the local history of the internment camps that help Japanese Americans. A video was playing in the media room but I was enthralled with all.of the pictures and displays they had. For filling out a brief survey I received a free postcard of my choosing. Plan to visit again with the family

they have only things from SLO County, but habe absolutely nothing on its most famous resident - Wm Randolph Hearst!

2 story history museum about SLO county history. Historic film, notable people, original and notable property, history of their yearly parades. Neat place overall. $5 donation recommended
