My husband and I moved our daughter from Chicago to NYC. We were so tired and didn’t feel like getting dressed up to go out. This was connected to our hotel. Husband and I shared soup, salad, entree and dessert. Everything was so amazing! Lightly prepared and tasteful. We were expecting mediocrity sorry, but thankfully, we got so much better! Thank you! And the homemade Zambuca was a delightful touch!
The thanksgiving dinner was amazing and the staff was so kind. I had the steak and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.Recommended dishesPrime Ribeye Steak
My husband and I just got married over the weekend and had our rehearsal dinner here. My family from Texas were staying in the Four Points hotel for the wedding and out of ease I thought about having our rehearsal dinner at San Marino. My expectations were exceeded. Alda helped me coordinate the menu, date and time with ease. Alda was very communicative and helpful. The food and service were absolutely amazing!! The waitstaff is so attentive and helpful I could not be more pleased with our interactions with them throughout the night. Our wine glasses stayed full and every need was met. The food was delicious, everyone was a fan of the family style and everything we had from the starters, mains and desserts were delicious. I can't recommend them enough if you're thinking about a large party or thinking about a small dinner for yourself as a guest in the hotel. I highly recommend and enjoyed our rehearsal dinner thoroughly. Thanks San Marino!!
The whole experience was strange starting with them not acknowledging the oysters were on the happy hour on the website. The Maître d’ was sassy but the waiter was great and sympathetic I ordered the linguine with clams and it had absolutely no flavor or sauce and the pasta was crunchy like it was deep fried in olive oil. It was horrible, seriously.
I made a reservation for dinner on Friday night. Everything was on top, the ambiance, service and the food. I had the grilled octopus for appetizer and the special black linguini with sea food for my meal and it was perfect. I will recommend to my friends this place and for sure will be back soon.
If you’re looking for a good pasta or a good service, DO NOT go to San Marino in SoHo. I stayed at Four Point Sheraton. Ordered room service. An hour and a half later called back to check in what the delay was- the person on the call very nonchalantly says “I forgot to put the order”. I come downstairs to ask what’s going on and there’s absolutely no regret in their voice. “We’re too busy”. The restaurant is literally, and I mean literally, empty. Not a single soul to be seen. I would only recommend this place to people I want to have the worst experience with ordering and service. Some terribly poor third world countries have better service than this. Never going back. If you do want some good pastas in this neighborhood, checkout Nonna Beppa. Incredible food and superb service and they’re open till 11! Walk a couple of blocks and check them out.
I came to San Marino on the advice of a close friend and I was not disappointed! The service was above par, and everything was delicious. I was afraid we might have been underdressed, but we were welcomed with open arms. This establishment is now on my "must visit" for the next time I'm in NYC.
Poor quality Italian ingredients. Over priced. Mediocre wine list and cocktails. So many better Italian choices in NYC. Do not recommend
WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT SAN MARINO RISTORANTE SOHO I would like to start with a thumbs-up to the delicious food and the courteous staff of San Marino Ristorante SOHO. I got an opportunity to dine at San Marino Ristorante SOHO during my stay at Four Points by Sheraton SOHO. I stayed at the hotel for a week. During my stay, all my breakfast were at San Marino Ristorante SOHO and one day evening I attended the beer fest. This is a small and cozy setup right amidst the Soho Village area. There is a small bar at the entrance, right opposite the reception with few bar stools and a television to spend some good time. As you go further inside, there is this nice cozy dining area which is well set and nicely lit. A lot of wooden furniture and wall decor gives a pleasant time while dining here. I loved this dining experience as it gave me the much needed cozy and calm feeling and helped me to get refreshed. The breakfast menu comprises of a well set collection of dishes for all kind of food lovers. I tried almost all the dishes in one week of my stay and all were absolutely delicious and fulfilling. All the breakfast was served with a choice of fruit juice. On Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the Beer Fest and I loved it. Fresh beer stout was served on the tap along with some delicious food. Special mention for the staff who is always helpful and courteous. They ensure that we feel comfortable and are very professional. I have watched some amazing parties and get-together happening here in the evenings with some lovely music. I feel that this is surely a good place to for good food and to plan a treat. Signing Off Hiral Amodia TheHeeBee
