We are bringing our second puppy to Sandy Meadow and they are great to work with and are just incredible with dogs. It's like they know what they are thinking! Missy and Anne have both been incredible!

My vet recommended this place. Went here for basic manners training and the owner Melissa and the trainer Elizabeth were great. It was a group training in the parking lot COVID which worked out well. I think there were about 6 to 8 different dogs. Elizabeth was a great trainer and was able to still give one on one attention in a group environment. She would go around the room or parking lot in this case to each owner and dog to make sure we were training and rewarding at the right time, etc. Once when Elizabeth went around the group and got to us, my dog would just NOT get "heel". I was mortified and was hoping Elizabeth would just give up and go to the next dog in the group, and we could practice at home. She didn't! All we needed is a couple more seconds to get the timing right and it worked! She makes sure your dog is learning and spends enough time with each owner. I've heard great things about this place from others that went here. From what I've heard ALL the trainers are fantastic. Also the owner is great about answering questions. I recently contacted her and if her training facility doesn't offer a service you're looking for, she will freely recommend you to a place that does. It's rare that businesses do that since most just want to safeguard profits. I feel Melissa genuinely cares about you and your pet's well being. I'd give a million stars if I could! THANK YOU!

Training our 4.5 months puppy here and after 2 weeks the results are amazing!! They are extremely skilled in what they do. Very experienced and knowledgeable and I love following their lead to make our family dog a great ember of society!!

These ladies are great and excellent in the way they teach all of our pets dogs small and large. I hope to continue to our next step in 2021. Classes have helped us alot with our 9mos. Old Zoey Girl

This is my second class at Sandy Meadow and I am thrilled with the progress of my German Shepherd pup. We started in puppy kindergarten and learned basic skills to get us started. We will soon be completing basic obedience and know that we will be continuing additional classes here. The trainers understand German Shepherd puppy and adolescence behaviors and provides various methods that allow us to be successful. The classes are small and not chaotic as I have experienced with other trainers in the past. The trainers do put a fencing around a dog that cannot control themselves in class which blocks the dogs from seeing the other dogs; however, once the owner follows the trainers instructions and the dog learns to settle appropriately in class this becomes a non-issue. Each class also includes an instructional booklet to help outside of class with homework. I found this booklet to be very helpful. The small class sizes allows each dog to receive one on one attention and the trainers use every dog in class during demonstrations. I found this to be a great place to train my German Shepherd pup and appreciate all the support and guidance provided by the trainers. German Shepherds are a special breed that require consistent work and training skills. Sandy Meadow has started me on this path and with their continued guidance our current plan is to continue our training towards Good Canine Citizenship and an ultimate goal of therapy dog. Jasper and I highly recommend the Sandy Meadow dog training classes.

Missy and team were so wonderful with helping us learn how to work with our first dog about 12 years ago that we went back with our new puppy even though we are several towns away. Although the same breed, every dog is unique and training has been a new experience. Missy is incredibly intuned to both the dog owner and the dog and provides tried and true guidance, as well as individual recommendations tailored to the specific dog. We've recommended Missy again and again over the years and we look forward to continuing to learn with her and our new puppy through obedience and k9 good citizen training. She and her staff have taken great lengths to ensure a safe environment and were even able to offer zoom classes to help get us started during peak COVID period. We are thankful to have a lifelong resource to help our family successfully train and maintain a happy, healthy home for our pups.

We've taken part in three different training programs with our lab-mix puppy. All of the trainers are professional, informative and just good hearted people. Melissa is a very deep well of knowledge when it comes to dog behavior and what people can do to correct problems. The courses are fast-paced, but if you do your homework, you're sure to be successful. Make no mistake though, you will be the one getting trained in how to help your puppy and how to teach your puppy needed skills. When we adopt another puppy, we will definitely be back for more courses.
