Let’s just say the reviews for this place is lies the food was not good the morir sonando was horrible was not sweet I had chicken chunks it was cold and dry and the rice was okay the bill came up to like 50 for food tht was trash and they were bare drunk men I’m the place by the bar smh never again the mojito was just oil
We got breakfast and 2 chicken pastelito. The food was good and I like dipping the pastelito in salsa mojito. We got the passion fruit juice and it was so tasty. Definitely recommend when you are in the neighborhood and want authentic Spanish food.
Food was made fresh, service was fast and just a nice atmosphere to be in when you see smiles on everyones face.Food: 5/5
Horrible experience. Extremely loud, rude and inattentive staff. I had to ask the staff for something new every few minutes after I ordered because they did not do things completely and correctly. At first I felt bad but one is paying for the service and when I saw their nasty attitude, I got fed up. Finally, I ordered the most horrible cuban sandwich I have ever tasted. It had cold salami in it and the pork was so salty, I ended up throwing it out. Very unfortunate to have had this experience on a block that I always recommend everyone to go to for delicious cuisine and friendly people. DO NOT COME HERE
Food is pretty good. Could be a bit cleaner and the displays more presentable but I'd eat here again.
I just ordered a pork lunch.. I have to say, it was super tasty and delicious. Very good customer services, make to you a favor and try it. 100% recommend it with all the communityFood: 5/5
I was introduced to this place my first few months in the city by a friend of mine. Their roast chicken was really delicious. My friends have come to rely on me as a proficient procurer of high quality chicharrón de hueso. I got a call from one of my elder friends and her daughter-in-law who were driving to the city from the Poconos and the first thing they wanted me to do was order chicharron from the place that I had last bought it for them at. It's a pretty good spot on 125th Street but when they went there what they got was nowhere near as good as what I got for them. Instead of going back to that same spot I recommended Sandy because they are always on point. And I've been there several times over the years. It was all my friends could do not to drool on the glass. I think that the prices may have gone up a bit but the quality has never been shady at Shandy. If you want to eat in; there's not a lot of space but it's well worth the visit. I'd give the pernil a B+ but everything else I've had there has been an A /A+. I also like the staff. They're nice and not and rude at all. Features: I don't remember more than one of the servers wearing a mask but that's not really unusual for this area nowadays. Some people are masked an some people aren't
Stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed the down home experience. Will definitely come back for a dinner meal.Food: 4/5
We tried to go across the street to the other Spanish restaurant but you can't eat-in no more. So we went here mainly because my mom wanted to sit and eat. My mom n i really liked the food though. Lucky we went there.
I got a cup of cold water in hot summer day from Mr. mogul espinal . I felt touched to see that as a business man he would like to offer help to “strangers” He is one of best manager. More ever The food here looks very fresh and environment very clean. Working staff are friendly the toilet is clean from Julian Zhao a volunteer art promoter
