The Sandy Spring Museum Garden Club was founded in 1990 by Mary Rice to bring together people interested in all things related to gardens and gardening. Membership is open and free to all Museum members. Guests are always welcome to attend any function. Joining the Club offers a great opportunity to meet new people, have fun and enhance your knowledge of horticulture and the Sandy Spring community. The Garden Club holds four programs a year, with speakers on a variety of topics and hands-on workshops.
Other activities include a Plant Sale Booth at the Strawberry Festival, beautifying the courtyard gardens at the Museum and taking exciting planned trips. The Club also sponsors a biennual Garden Tour which features local, private and historic gardens. The Garden Club is the oldest established club in the Sandy Spring Museum and members are enthusiastic supporters of the Museum. Our gatherings are informal and we serve great refreshments at all activities.
