The RV park is well laid out and very neat and clean. It is a bit difficult to get to park, if traveling North on I35 towards Gainesville, as you must exit, go past the first turn and use the second turn which leads you in a right half circle, over I35 and another half circle to get onto the service road leading to the park. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful, renovations are to be done on some parts of the park, but those are not affecting the campground itself. The paved sites are very large and easily to enter/exit and level. The back in sites are gravel, but seem to be very level and hard. The dog park is well maintained and has obstacles for K9s to play on. Only down side is lighting is not good at night, as one of the motion lights didn't work until you walked up to it and waved about a foot from it. But in daylight is is large enough for K9s to run and exercise after being in a RV or vehicle. Only bad situation, which was not the parks fault was a complete power outage through the park. This was restored as quick as possible; as it was on a Sat. I decided to stay an extra night and although the office is closed on Sun, my request was answered VERY quickly and all was well. Although park is a little difficult to get to, as a KOA, it is very well maintained and except for the electrical hickup, the stay was nice, comfortable and enjoyable. Safety: The park is located far enough off I35 that the traffic noise is minimal and away from any large cities.
Always a great stay for our family and doggies. The dog park though small is perfect to let dogs run off leash. The overall park is clean , well maintained and safe. Spots are mostly concrete and spaced out nicely. It's a great spot for short stays. Dog-friendliness: Shout out to Kamp K9!! My dogs loved running around.
Excellent stay! Overall impression is great. Sites are well maintained. Used one of the cement pull-throughs. Almost perfectly level. Power, water, sewer hookups are well-placed and in excellent working order. Great amenities. Pet area, pool, playground, basketball, general use grill area with large table and grill. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed over Memorial weekend 2023 and would definitely book again when in the area.
Aside from the train horn at night, the stay was great. We got placed on the north side of the campground, which had some trees. The rest of the campground doesn't seem to have much in the way of shade. The playground is the best I've seen at a KOA so far. Has a catch and release fishing pond.Service: 5/5
We stayed here to visit family in Denton. Jacquie was a great help when checking in and suggested a shaded spot that was perfect. The campground is clean and well maintained.
This is KOA and they have many concrete drive thru spots. There are bathrooms, showers and laundry on site. Really nice dog play area and playground for kids.Hotel highlightsQuiet, Great value
Nice place to stay with an RV. They have a little store at the entrance and there is a gas station just a mile or so for anything you may have forgotten on your trip. Nearby activities: Lots of cool little towns close by. Historic places to visit and the lake is great for summer days. Walkability: Great park to walk in. More than one dog park makes it safe for fur babies. There is also a swimming pool and laundry facility on grounds. Walk to the pond for a relaxing evening. Catch and release fishing.
Jackie, Gloria, and Mike were just wonderful people. The place itself was quiet and clean. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!Rooms: 5/5
Solid KOA. Very long pull-thrus. Pretty level. Utilities worked fine. Didn't test Wi-Fi as T-Mobile 5G was very fast. Arrived late on a Saturday but the documents and site number were on the wall. Not exactly right next to the freeway but can still hear some of the road noise. A bit pricey for a KOA Journey but it was overall fine.
Very clean KOA! The dog park was nice and the bathrooms/showers were very convenient.Service: 5/5
