Sanibel is a barrier island on the southwest coast of Florida. As a tourist attraction, we see a great many people come and visit this wonderful community.
The personnel and of the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District provide an outstanding service to the residents and visitors of Sanibel Island. Our District has a dedicated staff of 28 full time personnel. The District provides Fire/Rescue services with the following specialties: Fire Operations, Advanced Life Support (non-transport), Advanced Water Rescue, Hazardous Materials Response, and Confined Space Rescue. These facets are coordinated by the following: Administration, Fire Prevention and Life Safety, and Training for both Fire Operations and Basic and Advanced Life Support. Each of these programs is vital to the safety and security of the community.
