Dr. Schwyzer received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1984. He earned ceritification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 1997 and in 2006 became the sixth national veterinarian to qualify as a Fellow of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr. Schwyzer has taught veterinary acupuncture certification courses since 1998 in Canada (6), the USA (7), and Havana, Cuba (1). He is well versed in horse racing, equine reproduction, general farm medicine and at ease in all aspects of small animal care. The practice is entirely mobile, wherby Dr. Schwyzer brings his professional services to the client. Additionally, Dr. Schwyzer holds Bachelors degrees in English Literature (University of Puget Sound, 1975) and Veterinary Sciences (Colorado State University, 1981).
