I walked into the office early Wednesday morning with my dog that had something in her eye. I thought it was dirt or sand. They took her in right away. Said they would call me. By the time I got home they called saying she had punctured her eye with what looked like a piece of wood and they would do surgery right away that morning. She was home that afternoon and was her very perky self the next morning. I am most grateful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Alma B
You know how dog can tell good people well. Biscuit love's them. She's recovering great experience from start to finish
Thank you for taking excellent care for our cats and getting us in asap! I have to say it was affordable, and also, we were in and out of there in less than an hour, so thanks again! I highly recommend Santa fe pet hospital!!
If I could I would give negative stars. Not only did they over charge the advised me on something I told them I didn't think was necessary. The made it seem like the only option. Then to get a call say we'll we didn't find anything but since she is under we can spade her... from $989 to $535.00 and then to boot it does coast that much to spade a 5 lb puppy ‍
First time visiting and I have to give a huge shout out to the Patti, the vet tech that assisted us today. She was so knowledgable and passionate about patient care. She educated us on the lesser known disease and treatment options for our cat and was so kind throughout our visit. Thank you for your compassion
We love this place the front desk are always super helpful they always find a way to get us seen as soon as possible. My fur baby always gets better when sick. Thank you guys for all the love and medical attention your team gives. Greatly appreciated.
This place is ALWAYS clean, they are amazing with my pets. I have taken my animals to Santa Fe since they were in their old building, and my parents even took our family pets to Santa Fe Pet backnwhen I was a kid 2 generations, and now MY kids take their pets there too. 3 happy generations!!
My dogs are regular patients here and I have respect for Dr. Gregg and Dr. Bell but I think this hospital could use some work. They don't have an online presence on Facebook, their website lacks information, for instance, it doesn't even have the vets' photos on there. They don't have an app like PetDesk where you can view your upcoming appointments or your pet's prescriptions. A couple of years ago, they would let you into the rooms but since COVID happened, they only take your pet from the lobby to the back room for examination. The doctor then sends the diagnosis with the nurse to talk to you in the lobby in front of everyone. I have only seen the doctor once in like 5 years. The lobby could also use some remodeling because it doesn't feel like a vet, it still feels like a mission. It's a good clinic but I feel like the Atwater vet by Walmart, Monte Vista, Taylor Vet, all have a more better experience.
the doctors are very competent and efficient, the staff could be more polite and attentive. They saved my dog's life and I will be forever grateful for that. However, when we returned three days later to ask for a review consultation, the service was not pleasant, it was efficient but not pleasant. The nurses and one of the front desk attendants were extremely and unnecessarily rude, it seemed like they were annoyed that we were there. Of all the receptionists there is only one very attentive she is a young woman with black hair, the only one who can speak Spanish, friendly and polite Miss, the nurse who took our pet inside was frighteningly rude, I almost asked to change nurses, but I didn't have a chance because she was pulling our little dog inside. Our dog was scared, she had stitches on her belly and she had a plastic cone around her neck, so she was having trouble getting around and didn't know where to go, but she almost dragged my dog inside. I think she wasn't happy because it was night and from the look on her face she looked like she was sleeping, I don't think she was happy that she woke up. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to learn her name. In general, I recommend it, I will go back there whenever I need to, I just indicate that you ask for the name of the employees and always write a review mentioning each one, so that we can help in possible improvements for this hospital.
FIRST OFF, THEY SAID "YES" & GOT ME IN W/ CRITTERS SOON, NOT IN SOME 4-6 WEEKS... THEY WERE ANIMATED & FRIENDLY, WHAT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN, ENGAGING IN EYE & CUSTOMER INTERACTION, NOT ACTING LIKE CARDBOARD W/ NO SOUL AS TOO MANY PLACES ARE NOW..! I HAVE BASIC CARE CRITTERS, THOSE NEEDING VAX CRITTERS, OLD KIDS, KIDS WITH SUDDEN & "MUST BE SEEN IMMED." KIDS... A CAT I'VE CARED FOR SINCE AMONG MANY STRAYS AFTER MASSIVE WILDFIRE WAS GOING SOUTH FAST..! I GOT A TECH, ERICA, WHO IS VERY SWEET, KIND, PATIENT, & REASSURING & NOW THIS CLINIC IS MY FIRST CHOICE FOR SOME 60+ CATS & 12 DOGS... I WON'T ABIDE PAYING HUNDREDS -SOME WAY HIGHER THAN I EXPECT- TO OVER $1,000 PER ANIMAL & ALLOW THEM TO BE DISMISSIVE, FLAT, CONDESCENDING & COLD- NUH-UH, NO WAY, HAVE HAD IT WITH THAT! THIS PLACE IS GOOD, EVEN IF I'M SHOCKED AT THE BASE JPRICES ON SOME THINGS W/ THEM TOO... OTHER PLACES ARE WAY HIGHER & THERE IS NO ADJUSTING TO THE INSANE COSTS NOW TO SPAY JUST ONE CAT, OR BASIC OFFICE EXAM - THERE ARE NO MULTIPLE CAT/ LITTER DISCOUNTS TO BE FOUND ANYMORE, IT SEEMS. I GOT SPOILED BY AN AMAZING VET WHO WOULD ALL THE KIDS, IF I WAS ORGANIZED, HE'D CHARGE FOR MAYBE 2 TO HELP ME HELP STRAYS & KIDS... IT LOOKS LIKE ALOT OF CORPS. ARE BUYING OUT VET PRACTICES & IT COSTS!!
