Tex-Mex Delight: Santa Fe Restaurant Review: Santa Fe Southwest Grill - A Tex-Mex Delight in Rock Springs, Wyoming Located in the heart of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Santa Fe Southwest Grill is a hidden gem that promises a delightful culinary journey through Tex-Mex and American flavors. As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I couldn't wait to try out their renowned Border Burger, which I had heard countless rave reviews about. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. Ambiance: Stepping into Santa Fe Southwest Grill, I was immediately captivated by its warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant was adorned with vibrant Southwestern-inspired decor, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. The rustic wooden accents and subtle lighting set the stage for a pleasant dining experience, making it the perfect place to unwind with family and friends. Service: One of the highlights of my visit to Santa Fe was the exceptional service provided by our server, Andrea. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine friendliness were evident from the moment she greeted us at the table. She patiently answered all our questions and offered helpful recommendations, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Menu and Food: The menu at Santa Fe Southwest Grill boasts a tempting selection of Tex-Mex and American dishes, catering to a variety of taste preferences. After much contemplation, I decided to go for their highly-acclaimed Border Burger, and boy, was it a wise choice! The Border Burger was simply extraordinary. The first bite sent my taste buds into a frenzy of flavors, and I immediately understood why people couldn't stop talking about it. The patty, made from their freshly ground hamburger, was cooked to perfection, exuding juiciness and a smoky char that hinted at the quality of their ingredients. The accompanying toppings, such as pulled pork, bacon, and zesty fried onions, all complemented each other brilliantly, creating a symphony of flavors in every mouthful. To top it off, the brioche bun was soft, yet sturdy enough to hold everything together without getting soggy. Chips and Salsa: Before the main course, we were served a basket of crispy, freshly fried tortilla chips alongside a bowl of vibrant salsa. The chips were addictively crunchy, and the salsa was a revelation. Bursting with the freshness of ripe tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and just the right amount of spice, it was an ideal accompaniment to whet our appetites. Drinks: I decided to pair my Border Burger with a refreshing glass of unsweetened tea. It was evident that the tea had been freshly brewed, as its subtle, natural flavors worked wonders in balancing the richness of the burger. Moreover, it was a perfect choice to beat the Wyoming heat. Final Thoughts: Santa Fe Southwest Grill surpassed all my expectations, leaving me with a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in their food preparation, especially grinding their hamburger in-house, sets them apart from the rest. Coupled with the inviting ambiance and exceptional service from Andrea, this restaurant deserves every bit of praise it receives. If you find yourself in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and have a hankering for some Tex-Mex and American goodness, don't miss the chance to dine at Santa Fe Southwest Grill. I highly recommend indulging in their delectable Border Burger, alongside their outstanding chips and salsa. Be prepared to savor every moment as you embark on a culinary journey that showcases the best of Southwest flavors and hospitality.
The atmosphere is the best thing about the place. Happy hour Margarita's are sickeningly sweet. It's Mexican food honestly I wasn't expecting a lot and it thoroughly disappointed. ordered a soft taco and the salt level in it made me think they were poisoning us. We popped in for the margarita special and we were told in order to get the margarita special we had to order food. so we picked a soft taco and all I can say is I am very grateful that we did not order a full meal the entire thing was in edible. Even our waitress agreed. Nope never again.
We went into Santa Fe last night for dinner. Service: Our waiter José was INCREDIBLE. He was so kind and attentive. He even had some good conversations with our toddler. The manager stopped by as well to see how everything was going. Meal: we've been to just about everywhere out here, and this was by far the best meal we've had. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals! The raspberry margaritas are incredible. We don't go out often, but this was an amazing experience and we will be back!
We showed up on Saturday night right at dinner time with 12 people fully anticipating having to wait because we didn’t have a reservation.. The manager immediately jumped in and pushed tables together in the bar for us all to sit together, and also was the person who waited on our group. We had the best service and the best food. This is a must stop every time we visit Rock Springs, the Jalapeño Sour Cream is the best thing on their menu
We planned this stop to eat at this restaurant because of the reviews and the Navajo Tacos. We had the sweetest server who was so helpful and the kitchen made us a special dessert on top of that! What a wonderful experience! We'll be back for breakfast tomorrow!
We really enjoyed our dinner here, and Sierra, our server, was just delightful. She was very happy to accommodate my odd drink request. The food was delicious. I tried a mushroom, onion and garlic steak along with steamed veggies and a side salad. It was a good sized portion and nicely cooked. My guy had a burrito with a cheesy jalapeño sauce and he was happy. It was a bigger than average portion. Try this place out. You'll be happy you did.
Very flavorful! They have a variety of sauces you can smother your burrito with. I wanted to try two so the waitress did half and half. Then brought me samples of two more she thought I might like. All four were very tasty. Habanero sauce was very spicy just like I love it, green chili sauce was flavorful and spicy, yum. Also tasted the whiskey sauce and the sour cream sauce and both had outstanding unique qualities. And a generous portion of chips and salsa was served while I waited on my dinner. My very filling, satisfying meal before tip was $12.72!! I'll most certainly return when back in town.
Delicious food. We're from California and this place does it right with their own upgrade with their optional flat bread. Great fast service. Served us 2 basket of chips 2 salsas per basket. Make sure to stop by!!
A very busy restaurant with good Mexican food and excellent waitstaff. Prices were more than reasonable. We happened to arrive before happy hour and were seated immediately. By the time we left, the place was packed with a line out the door. Killer margaritas. 1Food: 5/5
Don't know how you can screw up Mexican food, but they did. Salsa tasted like it came from a can and was terrible. We both ordered different burritos. The presentation was poor and tasted even worse. It was the worst we have ever had. The help was very good. Just not their products.Food: 1/5
