A Santa Paula gem! There is so much to love about this museum...beautiful buidling/ exhibits, local artists, wonderful volunteers, a lovely gift shop and lots of art classes and programs. I recently visited the Santa Paula Art Museum with my family and am so glad I did. I look forward to returning again soon.Visited onWeekend
Very nice for a small-town art museum. It's housed in a beautiful historic building with a vault. Exhibits focused on local topics and artists. Currently there is a show themed around local agriculture which I enjoyed very much. $4 well spent :
Besides the usual paintings of nature such as gardens, mountains, and sea, the temporary exhibition "Face of California" until September 15, 2019 has a whole different look and feel see photo. Some quite impressive works on show! There's also a small, but bountiful, gift shop with unique items to please a variety of tastes.
A nice, small, cozy community Art Museum, helpful and friendly staff!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Great gallery and museum exhibiting work from contemporary local and regional artists in fantastically restored historic building. Friendly and welcoming docents, staff and tenants of supporting art related services provide a fine intro to the spirit of the Santa Clara Valley.
The docents there are really great. Sure glad we have this in Santa Paula.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Great little museum
This was our second stop on our Santa Paula "Passport 2 History" excursion! The building is very nice and I believe the art is constantly moving, so really how good it is depends on the current show. We began in a smaller room where they had art from your children which was very cool. Also in that room, there was a project where you could have your kids make their own frog out of paper and part of an egg carton. I really appreciate when places have activities for kids. In fact, they're opening a whole new building that I believe is going to be centered around children! Looking forward to seeing that! The rest of the museum was nice, but there's not too much to it. We spent less than a half hour here. But that's fine because you have two other museums in walking distance, so it actually worked out nicely. On it's own, it's not much to write home about, but I would certainly make this a stop on your Santa Paula day trip!
Great, low-pressure fun to hang out, enjoy some art, and get coffee after. Exhibits change every couple months. My favorite was "Storm Brewing" by Roland Raymond Harding.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
It's a great little museum. The town has worked hard to make this museum come to life and they hold some great events every few weeks. They feature a lot of local artists and their exhibits are always changing.
