I am a young entrepreneur with a love for upcycling furniture and home decor.
It all began when I was 16 years old. I started interning at a little shabby chic boutique on the main drag in my home town.
At first I helped with sanding pieces and cleaning the store. My boss would throw me a twenty here and there. It was never a consistent paycheck but I didn't care because I was in love.
Each week I would get more and more hands on with painting and design. Soon I saw pieces that I finished myself on the sales floor selling like hot cakes.
I soon found out that the best feeling in the world is to see someone glow when they look at a piece of art that I created.
I left the boutique to peruse a job with a steady income and go to school. I never finished my degree, I never found a job that clicked. Every time I got bored I would go redo a dresser or a night stand, sell it and remember that wonderful feeling of creating something that someone loves and appreciates.
Now I am finally doing what I love by jumping head first into the water. I wake up every morning knowing that it's going to be a great day because I'm going to create something beautiful.
