Nice quiet little in park. Good walking loop with Pokemon GO stops to spin. A safe habitat for burrowing owls too! Has a playgrounds for kids. Very clean open area. Don't feed the Gators.
Amazing park, beautiful atmosphere with the lake, plenty of benches, workout machines, a burrowing owl habitat, karak launch, playground, basketball court, horseshoe area, pavilion, and very clean bathrooms in a safe neighborhood.
This is a cute park. Lots of people walking dogs and with kids. There were 2 fellows playing basketball on the court. They have 6 hoops. The parking isn't super big but no problem finding a spot. There are 2 playscapes. One I would say is for bigger more experienced kids and the other for infants and younger toddlers. My LO likes the slides and swings. My only complaint is that they have the playscape area enclosed with a fence and the swings are on the other side of the fence and not fenced in. If you want to go from the playscape to the swings you have to go around, which gets mildly annoying when your kid wants to go from one to the other. If they had a gate from the playscape to the swing area that would be better. The playscape is on fake grass and the swing area has wood chips, which of course my toddler thought was fun to toss around. Not much seating here, but there is a picnic table. If you are looking for a spot where you can just sit and let your kid play, you'll probably be sitting on the ground. There were probably 6 other kids there with their caregivers but I didn't feel crowded. The swings were wonderful and had a nice view of the small lake there. There were restrooms but we did not go into them, so I don't know if they were clean or even open. It's not too far from our home, so we will visit again and perhaps see where the walking path takes us!
We came here looking for burrowing owls oh, a few of which we saw but none very active. A hawk came and settled in a tree right above there nesting site. That probably discourage them from coming out. It's a wonderful little park with a neat walking trail, horseshoes, playscape, in a nice lake with a beautiful sunrise!
The family and I love this park. It's got such a beautiful view and it's pretty ducked off so it's never to crowed. I love how the playground is gated so your kids can play without running out of it. The view of the lake is very refreshing. They have a nice basketball court as well. Playground: Gated playground and pretty clean. Dog-friendliness: There is a track all around this park. Great to walk your dog and enjoy the sound of kids playing Picnic area: Nice picnic area with a grill. It's covered with benches and tables.
Quiet lake front park in a quiet neighborhood, walking trail, and the city just installed new kids' playground equipment and teen/adult exercise equipment. Horse shoe pits, restroom building, and lots of picnic tables. Basketball court is usually in use late afternoon, early evening. EDIT, 12/22: Hurricane Ian took quite a toll on the park but it's still a good place for family activities. The City did a good job cleaning up after the storm, but at least 10% of the trees, especially some of the larger ones were lost. There are still several large uprooted stumps in place and the shade for the kids' playground is still missing, as well as the lights for the horseshoe pits. The walking trail lights are still in place but haven't worked since Ian. The recently installed kayak launch sustained serious damage as well. Playground: A nice playground was installed a couple years ago and is still in very good condition except a missing shade due to Hurricane Ian. It is well attended by young families, especially on the weekends and early evenings Restrooms: Decent restrooms in a permanent structure. Dog-friendliness: There are almost always dogs, many of which are well behaved regulars, in the park, walking the trails with their people or playing in the grass. Picnic area: There are is a large covered pavilion with several picnic tables under it and a charcoal grill, as well as a single table with a roof. Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park.
It's a wonderful park with everything there, like a running/walking path, swing set, jungle gym, basketball court, bathroom house, pavilions with picnic tables and even a water fountain!
Clean park with amenities and dog friendly. Basketball court, horseshoes, bocci, playground and an exercise trail with a pavilion for parties make this a great stop.
A beautiful park located on the river, the view is really pretty.Dogs are allowed on leashes. There is a fenced in playground for children and picnic benches.Great place for a walk or jog or just for the view! There is a walking path and exercise stations have been installed very recently.Excellent park and very peaceful.
Neighborhood Park on clear lake. Kid friendly and dog friendly. Boat ramp for kayaks and canoes. Everyone nice and friendly.
