The Honor Guard Association is all about veterans. We are always looking for veterans to volunteer to help us provide burial services.
The Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Association performs Military Funeral Honors that include Firing the rifle volleys, playing of Taps, folding the US Flag and presenting the next-of-kin, presenting three (3) cartridges to the next-of-kin. We recruit and train our members, all our members are volunteers.
The Honor Guard members wear our standard uniform. Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, Veterans Service Organizations may be able to participate as an Honor Team in their own uniforms, including the Boy Scouts, fraternal organizations and police force honor teams.
Our Goal: Honor those who served. To honor our comrades in arms laid to rest at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
WHO WE ARE: The Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Association is a Type B corporation under section 201 of the not-for-profit corporate law in the county of Saratoga, State of New York
The Honor Guard Association is a locally-based volunteer organization. Our sole mission is to serve as offical support committee for the Saratoga National Cemetery, so designated by the Veterans Administration. We are a tax exempt non-profit corporation. We exist exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in order to advocate for, preserve and support the Saratoga National Cemetery in Saratoga County, State of New York on behalf of the Veterans of the Armed Services of the United States of America. All of our funds, wether income or principal, and weather acquired by gift or contribution or otherwise, shall be devoted to this purpose

The objective of this organization will be to provide
Ceremonial burial services for honorably discharged veterans
at the Saratoga National Cemetery, if requested by the
cemetery director, next-of-kin, or the funeral home.
Services at private cemeteries may only be provided
For deceased members of this organization.
