My wife and I went in to file a report. The clerk and officer were really nice and took the time to explain what our options were and recommended what steps to take next. They have a prescription pill drop off bin just inside the door. The officers we met with were very professional and worked hard to help us out.
This police department is going to be the downfall of that town. If you have a clean record STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOWN! They aren't just after anyone breaking the law, but old people and minorities too. They will lie on police reports, use excessive force, and make up charges. They'll even give you "reckless driving" for running a stop sign that doesn't even exist. They'll charge you for possession of your own prescription medication. They'll move the decimal over on your blood alcohol level reading on the police report. Defend yourself always, your defender is working with the prosecutor to give you the deal most damaging to your record. Although if you try to fight a charge or ticket, they will drag it on literally for years in hopes you submit. I'm sure there are a handful of honest, respectable officers there. It can't be all of them, but they had me for 3 years and from what I and many others have observed this police department and court are corrupt and should be investigated. I supported the police, during the 2020 riots and now. Though I can not say the same for Saratoga Springs UT.
Stay away from this town. If you have a clean record they WILL get you on something if your pulled over and they will pull you over for absolutely no reason. The cops were bragging about towing other vehicles in front me after towing my vehicle. Strange department with even weirder officers. Keep safe and stay away.
My husband was pulled over this morning. The officer didn’t even tell him why. We had to ask. It was because the officer then claimed that he couldn’t see his license plate from 100 feet away. But it is clear and clean. This officer clearly was bored and had nothing better to do. Maybe the force is to large. Officer Serona maybe needs new glasses.
When a public servant over reacts then lies and calls the cops are the Saratoga Police going to see the law abiding citizen, exercising their rights as the victim rather than a criminal. Really SSPD, tell the public servant to get back to work and that they shouldn’t ring the police based on feelings against a law abiding citizen. It has to stop. Do you realise that almost everyone feels uncomfortable when they have an interaction with police, does that make you all potential criminals?
My friend passed away and I was grieving pretty hard. On the way home from the funeral I had an incident. The police officer showed up really fast. Greeted me, asked me how I was doing and made sure I and everything was okay. Asked me Great questions about what happened and was very proficient. Very professional! The officers Name was Sekona from Saratoga Springs Police department!! Thankyou Saratoga!! 5 Star review!!
Ive gone down to the department several times over the last several years, Ive met some really, truly amazing officers. They really do follow through on their oath. The departments administrative staff, and office staff are also great! I’ve loved meeting them. Keep up the great work!
Officer Waldron came and unlocked my car after I accidentally left the keys inside. He was fast, friendly, and a huge life saver! Thank you!
I got pulled over a few nights ago on Pioneer. The officer was so clear in that he just wanted me to drive safer. The experience was quick and I didn’t feel shamed. Even my kids said how nice it was to have police around. I made an illegal turn...no ticket/formal warning. But because of the care of the officer I have been driving safer:
They are not here to help you. They are only Here to scare you.
