Title: A Hidden Gem in Hayward: Saudagar Cash and Carry Rating: 5/5 As a food enthusiast and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Saudagar Cash and Carry, a splendid Indian grocery store located in the heart of Hayward, California. From the moment I stepped into this unique store, I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and the extensive range of products. What stood out to me was the vast assortment of goods sourced directly from India, offering an authentic taste of the subcontinent right here in California. The array of spices, the vibrancy of their colors and the aromatic intensity filled the air with a sense of familiarity, which was heartwarming. From the fresh produce to the various grains, pulses, pickles, sweets, and a multitude of other items, everything was impeccably organized and easy to locate. Saudagar Cash and Carry offers an impressive variety of brand options, many of which are difficult to find elsewhere. They also stock fresh Indian vegetables, not usually available in mainstream grocery stores. It was a delight to see all of my favorite ingredients for cooking traditional Indian dishes under one roof. The customer service here deserves a special mention. The staff were courteous, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They were more than willing to assist in finding specific items and providing advice on various products. This level of personalized service is rare these days and was deeply appreciated. Cleanliness is another aspect where Saudagar Cash and Carry shines. Despite the store's high traffic, the aisles were spotless, the products were neatly stacked, and the overall hygiene was commendable. Moreover, the store's pricing is competitive, providing great value for the quality and range of products on offer. They also have a frequent shopper program, which offers additional savings for regular customers, a thoughtful touch that sets them apart from many other grocery stores. In conclusion, Saudagar Cash and Carry is a delightful find for anyone seeking authentic Indian groceries in Hayward. It's a one-stop-shop for all your Indian culinary needs with high-quality products, excellent customer service, and an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this store to anyone who loves Indian food or is keen on trying their hand at Indian cooking. Be prepared for a sensory journey through the land of spices, flavors, and vibrant food culture. It truly is a treasure in Hayward.
Love this place! Whenever my Fiji sweets ever are high, I will plan one trip to get them. It's always fresh, tasty, and worth the money. Thanks for my fiji sweets fix Saudagar!!!
Hands down best Fijian grocery store in Bay Area. I like the bbq lamb chops and cut up goat and lamb also the hours they are open longer than other Fijian markets.
Store never picks up their phone line! How can anyone inquire on products? Need better customer service!
The range of Indian food available here is good. When i came to the store, one of the fridges wasn't working so food in that probably went bad, but they were selling that food anyway. There are little to no price labels on the things being sold here so you don't know the cost of what you are buying unless you bill it. The kids at the counter were friendly. Will go again because there aren't many places near my location that sell Indian food. I recommend trying Pillsbury's "Aloo masaledar Naan", they are the closest thing I have bought to Aloo parantha here in the US!
I complete all my shopping for spices, specialty flours, Indian sweets and fresh vegetables here. Staff are polite and humble.
Prices here are very high compared to other places. That Female is very rude doesn't know how to speak to Customers. Her Customer service is absolutely pathetic. Will never go this store.
Good shopping place. Have many products from various countries. Good service.
They should train employees on better customer service, at least hi & hello, can we help you find something at least have a nice day, they never smile or greet. There meat department is full of bones less meat, don’t by meat here this is not the best place for that. Old Mexican guy in the back rude as hell…We end up leaving the place and go down the street, which was cheaper and better meat and cut better. To the owner who’s running the place make your meat department better looking and presentable for customers to buy not nasty looking, no lights, cut the meat, also train your employees on better customer service if you in the business for that…
Limited stock and fairly higher rates of items compared to other stores.
