Dog park has everything you need. And we actually appreciate the fence size as our dog is still learning to recall and I don't want to spend hours trying to track him down. I can also easily see him the entire time so I know his dog to dog interactions are safe. Most everyone we've met so far have been nice. And there is almost always a few dogs there to socialize with Dog-friendliness: Dog park with dog facilities.
Very spacious park with healthy grass and plenty of room seriously big fetch. It's a very flat terrain with no trees which is great for that but not quite as fun for dogs who like running around/through/over obstacles. Plenty of parking right in front. Dogs were very well behaved and owners were very friendly and attentive. With its proximity to the highway and construction it's pretty noisy, so my skittish pup got nervous and didn't want to play so we didn't stay long.
If you have a friendly dog of any size, this is the park for you. There is an amazing core group that goes daily and are very welcoming to newcomers. We bring our small dog who loves big dogs, so we are always in the big dog section , but if you have a small dog that isn't fond of big dogs there is a small dog fenced section available. Also has a very nice dog and people water fountain.
Good people and well behaved dogs. Volunteer caretaker John ensures there is always plenty of dog toys and fresh clean water
Really large and fun dog park! They have lots of toys and water for the dogs. They also have chairs for pet parents. Came here with a friend and her doggo really seemed to love it!
Great park! Lots of friends for my pups to play with! Great people too! The maintenance staff takes great care of this park.
Plenty of room for the pups to run around within a solid fenced-in area. Well-behaved pets and owners were there when I went. Also a separate area for smaller dogs. Water, waste bin and extra pick-up bags are on site. Bring lots of towels if you go during the spring thaw or if it's been raining! It can get super muddy.
On a scale of dog parks, this one is not a highly ranking location. It is very small, like a large fenced in yard. There are 2 areas for small dogs separated from big dogs. But the wooded area nextdoor is very unique, there are so many rabbit tracks in the woods, its unbelievable. I also saw a black cat running around. There are coyotes in the woods for sure, I saw a spot that a coyote struggled with a rabbit in the snow. The giant paw prints show it was only one coyote though. This park is good for a very quick winter trip to get the dogs out out of the house in the cold winter weather. They don't want to stay too long.
Today was our first time visiting the dog park and it was a pleasant experience. This was a nice dog park with all the basic amenities. Has water fountain with cold water, many water bowls and water jugs to refill them. I saw there were poop bags and scooper tools, which is handy in case you forget to bring bags. There were a few rope toys and balls lying around which is a nice bonus for the dogs. They have picnic tables and chairs in various places for humans to sit in. The people that were there were all very nice and sociable.
I've met some great people and dogs here but there is no attention paid by the city. Trash left outside of the park all the time and there is no shelter during hot or rainy days. The city is growing and there are hundreds of people that frequent this park so it would be wise to put more effort into this park.
