I will never know if I could SAVE A LOT. Because there were so many people hanging outside the store I never got out of my car. Hello Owner of Save A Lot. Being that you are the Owner, you should file a complaint against all the people who are hanging out in front of your store, so that EVERYONE is able to enter your store whether they are driving a car or on foot. Thanks Owner of Save A Lot.
The store is terrible. I live in the city and dont drive have no choice but to go to save a lots. The prices are high The variety of fresh fruits and veggies are limited as well as the meats. Meats are always a struggle. To top it off I had the worst cashier ever. Corey working Sunday night at 9pm could not put his phone down to acknowledge his customers. He did even speak to me or lift his head from his phone. Terrible prices terrible service.
It's definitely a 4 star rating with potential to be a 5. Out of the current almost 1,000 reviews, there have been caught liars in the review section. The food groups are all there and fresh within reason, i.e. store stock selection shelf life. They have meats, dairy, fruits, breads, snacks, mixed nuts, cheeses, butter, eggs, cooking oil, etc. etc. etc. That didn't exist in Atlantic City for a long while, and before when it was attempted, it was not without problems.They do indeed clean that store, properly cut the meat, and they do indeed remove items past the expiration dates. There's many great employees there, and no, maybe not all of them that have been hired and then left. The great employees, have successfully done that grocery store job for years. There's always many things in stock to feed a City of 40,000 people+other Atlantic County residents in the rest of the Atlantic County area that do indeed come through and park their vehicles outside the store in the parking lot+plus the countless tourists throughout the year. Savalot has a better selection than any other grocery store in Atlantic City, NJ currently in 2023, and it's also been like that for years. There's disgusting generic convenience stores nearby in the rest of the City, and it's gross and sad. Savalot is definitely not to blame. You're lucky if you get a legitimate Spanish grocery market anywhere else in the City with any and I mean any other selection...and then you're paying their prices all the same. Only other options in the City is Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Walgreens, Dollar General, 7-11, The Gulf, and in the City outside of the Casinos there's the Atlantic City Restaurants. Otherwise, you have to leave the City to surrounding areas just to go to other grocery stores. Not to mention Acme is up for debate. They're more expensive, and there's completely different items, and there's two nearby. ShopRite will never come to Atlantic City NJ. It's cancelled. You have to go outside of the City. They have their own prices and selections themselves. I keep it real at any given time, and I definitely was looking out for everyone's well being. P.S. learn about citywide cleaning, and enzymatic cleaner.
The food here is way to high. It takes advantage of the people who don't drive...the meats are not as fresh. I seen chix dripping on new chix that's means the refrigerator is not cold enough.
Good prices but long lines one cashier that wasn't very friendly and her belly was out while pregnant and it started looking crazy for me and her. I think they a dress code stat!
This was in Atlantic City. The store is small. Product selection is limited. Very limited produce section. They do not supply bags and you don't find out until you pay and can't take the cart to the parking lot. It very inconvenient as I was visiting and had no bags to carry with me and couldn't hold all my purchases in my arms.
It's a decent clean supermarket. Not too many choices like a bigger brand supermarket but I give them credit and many thanks for being the only supermarket here for us folks who live here and need to buy groceries!!!!! So thank you Save A Lot !!! I hope that in the future they will stock healthier choices and vegan products. You can buy your basics and the meat section is pretty good. The fish is frozen but good. Unless you want to spend over at least $50 RT in cab fare to shop..yes...that costly !!! ....then this is your place.,.only supermarket in AC. Update today 04/1223 this AC store has turned into an absolute horror. I went into the store with my service dog and was met outside by a really nasty security woman who said no dogs allowed. I explained that it was a service dog. She said she didn't care what kind of dog it is no dogs are allowed. I asked to speak to the manager. He was extremely rude . I had proof. He said what is that ? Several times. He insisted it was fake. He stated that the ID must have the word Federal on it. He alleged that he knows this because his sister trains service dogs. He was very nasty..he said that he would allow me to shop today but never again with my service dog. The week before I had an issue with that female security person. Even a cashier commented on her. When I asked several times what the Manager's name was, he refused to give it to me.. This is so deplorable on so many levels. It's also illegal. I will issue formal complaints with several agencies. I am a senior citizen and it's is difficult enough trying to shop in ATLANTIC City for food. I hope that someone from corporate offices reads this. I will be getting in touch with you at corporate.
I feel sorry for the people in Atlantic City who have no choice but to use this store. It is filthy and options and selections of meats, dairy and other food items leave a lot to be desired.
Pretty good selection here reasonable prices fresh produce good generics and could be a little bit better on the ice cream selection
They had everything we needed to get us through the weeknd. Not sure if we "saved alot" or not, but our needs were met by shopping there.
