Best breakfast in Wilmington. Owner and staff are so friendly. Love the omelettes and biscuits and gravy. It has the best flavor. Granddaughter enjoys the pancakes. We have been in for lunch also and enjoyed that as well. Nice to have a cafe with good food and all the coffee I need.

I’m absolutely shocked this place has 4.5 stars, I don’t understand!! My family and I were so excited to eat here after seeing the reviews , maybe they have great breakfast and that’s what all the good reviews are from? We ordered dinner items and it was all just okay- nothing was spectacular. The food was just a step above lunch room quality. Super bummed it just wasn’t great. the service was good though! If you’re looking for feedback I would improve the following, with your wings try hand breading them yourself and getting higher quality chicken, get a better French fry vendor, your chop steak should be called Salisbury steak or meatloaf , that wasn’t like any chopped steak I’ve had anywhere else in America, Maybe that’s your region it’s how you guys prepare it? The white rice was wayyyyy over cooked and mushy it seemed like it was microwaved, if you’re going to offer white rice get a proper rice cooker it makes a huge difference. The brown gravy had good flavor though. Your chicken fried chicken was more regular chicken tenders , never seen it like that before either . I wish we would’ve ordered breakfast it looked like you guys do that really well.

Great Breakfast fast and friendly staff as well.

We went to Sawmill Restaurant in Castle Hayne last night. It had been raining and as I went in, they had a double rainbow behind them. Cool picture. Dinner was great. Hubby had fried shrimp and I had a grilled chicken salad. Server was very friendly and fun.

My sis and I drove an hour each to meet here for breakfast. Not only was the food fantastic...but they had good southern favs, like a fried bologna sandwich, biscuits n sausage gravy, and liver puddin. Denise, our waitress, was an absolute doll...friendly and helpful. We chose to walk after breakfast, and she recommended downtown Wilmington. It was perfectly charming with many home gardens, historic houses, and a barage of patios/courtyards. Cannot wait to visit here again!!

Always get the Lumberjack meal and it never disappoints. Recommend this place to everyone for good country style breakfast.Food: 5/5

Took my mother-in-law, she totally enjoyed her breakfast! They get a lot of business, so be willing to wait a few minutes.

I recommend the fried shrimp plate. If you there at the right time you can save a few bucks to pay for the outrageous gas prices by ordering the Early Bird special. Oh yeah the waitresses are beautiful .......,. Update went again and not disappointed excellent food and service. Special thanks to our waitress Danice. Was dehydrated from the heat and she made sure I never ran out of sweet tea. Really all the wait staff is excellent please hit the like on my review thanks
