Everyone at Saybrook Home did a wonderful job, from the customer service down to the delivery! We have purchased numerous items like our kitchen table, sleeper sofa, and stunning print for our living room in the furniture department, as well as, countless Home Shop items like pillows, candles, and all the fun decorative things they have to offer! Every department has something to offer!
This store is GORGEOUS and so unique. Saybrook Home does a great job of diversifying their vendors to curate a one-of-a-kind product mix. I bought two sofas from them and have been extremely satisfied with the quality of my purchase from the customer support to the comfort & design of the product. This one stop homeshop is truly a gem in the heart of Old Saybrook.
From beginning to end, this was a 5 star experience. Chris was phenomenal to work with, timelines were communicated transparently, and our furniture even came in earlier than expected! Quality is beautiful and delivery was smooth, friendly, and professional. We can’t wait to finish furnishing the rest of our house through Saybrook Home!
Jordan went above and beyond at my visit today. She actually went down to the basement to search out navy blue Colonial candles for me and found them!! She’s a terrific asset to the store. Thank you!!

The product is fine; the communication is horrible. So disappointed in the customer service. Will not return.
I am new to the area and my friend, a long-time resident, brought me to the apparel section of SH. While I loved the choices and the different labels they offer, I was very disappointed with the salesperson I dealt with. We were the only customers in the store, and I was carrying at least 8 items to try on which became rather cumbersome, and although she saw me she didn't offer to put them in a dressing room for me the other sales associate actually had to ask her to do that. She never once checked to see if I needed different sizes. And when she checked me out, she put the receipt in the bag and pushed the bag towards me, without saying "Thanks" or "Have a nice day" or anything -- she was simply silent. Again, this was my first trip to this store, and my friend, who is a long-time shopper there, was shocked at the unfriendliness of this sales associate, and said that it was uncharacteristic of the store. Despite having spent several hundred dollars there, she made me feel as if I were somehow unwelcome or undeserving of common courtesy -- a very unfortunate experience that will make me think twice about returning.
Love coming to this store! The staff are really helpful and it is always fun to browse both the clothing and furniture/home store. It is also a great place to go for gifts. The quality of the furniture is excellent and if you're going to invest in a piece that you'll have for years, this is the place to do it. You pay for the quality and customer service. I also bought a fantastic sun protection hat for the beach that I've had for years. Highly recommend!
I have been to Saybrook Home several times, the first few times to buy clothes. I didn't realize until the last time I went in that they have a ton of other stuff in there too. I ended up also picking up a few things for my mother's birthday with the help of a few of the employees. My mother loved the gifts so much that she made the trip to go back, and now it's her favorite store. Can't recommend highly enough!
We bought a living room set from Saybrook Home last year and love it. Our order was pretty unique and they handled the customization beautifully. Say what you will, but blue velvet on a sofa with modern lines is definitely back in. The designers in the store went out of their way for us and when everything arrived it was just the way we wanted it. Thank you.
