There's a gazebo here with a picnic table but it is mostly a canoe/kayak launch site into the Antietam creek.
Recently opened in 2016, it's a quaint little park hiding behind multi-story office buildings. Handicap accessible paved parking lot and paved trails with two boardwalks lead up to a gazebo and monarch way station. Also has paved/flat stone trail down to the Antietam Creek where you can enter with kayaks/canoes. A historical house is in the process of being renovated of the parking area. Grassy areas with existing and newly planted trees. Looking forward to going back in spring to explore the photo opportunities of flowers and birds! No restrooms in the park.
Easy access for kayaks. Nice place to go and sit by the creek.
I love getting some sweets from across the street at Saffron bakery and cafe and enjoying them here. So peaceful.
Nice, small place. A bit of a walk to the water maybe 50-60 yards? from the parking lot so if you are bringing a canoe/kayak be prepared to carry it. People were fishing there from the rocks but there is no beach/ swimming area.
I'm not sure what the point of this place is. It has a creek access... Parking lot fits about six cars which is good because anymore than that the park would be crowded. My point is it's very small with nothing to offer. So unless you want to quiet place to read a book with a singular picnic table then this is the place for you.
Hidden gem - this is a quaint, out of the way spot to enjoy a picnic, put a kayak on the water and enjoy some nature.
Nice, quiet little park with kayak access to Antietam creek, however there is a dam close down stream u gave to port around.
Great place to put in. Beware, they are currently building a bridge downstream, with a barrier keeping you from getting past the first 500 or so yards.
Beautiful little park. Very peaceful and has a historic house on the property!
