Just got back from spending the day playing paintball. Was so much fun I don’t know why I ever stopped playing. Special thanks to Lalo. He was very helpful and was able to ensure my day was everything I expected. Pretty sure I’ll be signing up for a membership.
Edit: The recently posted signs saying only field paint would be allowed, have been pulled until further notice. No update if they intend to implement the field paint only rule at a later date, but this is a sign SC is listening to their customers. We will keep an ear open. Aside from that, there are a lot of paintball fields in the SoCal area, but none match the size and logistics that SC Village provides. There is plenty of parking, lots of staff, they rent equipment, keep the bathroom relatively clean, and sell food and drinks on premise. Oh yeah, they also have a ton of paintball fields woodsball and sup air. The downsides — they tend to start games at 10:30am. When compared to other fields, you probably would have played 4 to 6 games by that time. Also, a bit of up field upkeeping covering holes or replacing downed walls would also be nice. Whether you're a newbie or seasoned player, this is a great place to play paintball, airsoft, or paintball soft.
I've been coming to SC Village once or twice a year since 2010. My friends loved playing games together, learning the sport, and just having fun. We are casual players. My most recent memory was in 2019 when I went before my wedding with a 40+ private group. I recently tried booking for our yearly trip on the phone and they've added so many additional rules and time restrictions. When I went in 2019 we went for the whole day without issues. Now it's a 3 hour window with 1 hour for registration!! The price is more than it was in 2019 but we are only paying for 2 hours or 6 games of play time versus 5 hour for a private group. The person on the phone also said that we could join general admission after our time was over but that we weren't guaranteed to be able to stay with our party to accommodate the other players that are there. On top of that you also need to buy their overpriced paint now. For someone that just wants to play casually with friends, this is not okay. We don't want to play with the people that have tons of equipment and go there every weekend. Simply said, we are booking elsewhere. This place will always hold sentimental value, but being a long time customer, I feel like I'm being ripped off. I'm sure its great for the 1 time players/birthday parties, but this feels like they've gone a direction that I can't support it. Thanks for the memories.
Overall we had a pretty good time. We got what we payed for, and staff was nice… somewhat. The referees of the games were very rude and controlling. I understand that they need to ensure that the rules are being followed, but they don’t need to be so rude. In the end tho i would recommend you come here, just not for your first time, because the rules are unclear and they do not show you how to use their rental guns.
Our experience was awesome parents and kids loved it even the ones that was watching had a great time.
Went to play and the staff is literally no help. No water points, no nothing. I went to go sign up for membership and they just completely ignored my request. They wait until the very last minute to tell you you're missing gear or that your gear needs to be tested first. I only got to play ONE game within the 4 hours I was sitting there because the staff is too busy trying to get you out of their sight so they don't have to help you or give you any info you need to play. Would not recommend.
The price has nearly doubled in the last two years but the field has seen little to no maintenance or updates. I really enjoyed coming to this field for private events years ago, but as mentioned the prices have nearly doubled recently, and the game day duration was cut down. You used to get a 4 hour window to play, but now it’s only 3 hours and you can expect to spend 1 full hour for check in. That means you end up paying $50 to play for two hours. Unfortunately that means you pay a lot more for even less game time, on a field that could really use some TLC. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy playing here but the competitors fields are looking better and better and are no more than 20 mins from SC Village. Wildlands is $35 per person for a private game, and you can play for 8 full hours…
Cool place to hangout and nicely put together maps but staff is disappointing. I was kicked out after he first game I played for something a different kid done, the ref not being even positive it was me and no refund. The employees are in my opinion unprofessional, rude, and the general manager has a straight attitude. Overall was a overpriced 35 dollars wasted.
This place has a lot of potential. It’s huge and lots of cool areas to paintball, however the rentals are a pretty old/overused. We couldn’t see out of the goggles and the paintball guns were unreliable.
I stopped coming a year ago due to some referees letting their friends get away with just about anything, and those same friends were the first to complain and the referees would listen to them and not everyone else. Today, we had a blast!!!! The referees got us in so many games, I was glad when he finally called lunch break so we could rest a little! Haha! Gavin is a fair referee and deserves a shout out. He did not delay games and let stragglers know they should hustle to the field when it's called to avoid delays. We played so many different game modes and he allowed us to vote on what game modes to play! Will be coming back soon!
