Scallywag's RV Park

The owners here are so sweet and very accommodating!! We have been on the road for about a week and decided to take a side trip to see the lake and just needed a spot for the night. We were greeted with smiles and welcomed. He showed us to our spot and helped us pull in and get hooked up. Then checked on us when he passed by. Found out we needed ice and offered to go get us a bag for the night. Long story short.... awesome people, great price, amazing atmosphere!! In our happy place tonight!

We traveled from Colorado and stayed here for a week. We got in at 9:30 at night and they were waiting for us to come in. They showed us where we needed to go and helped us get set up. With previous camping experiences at other places, nobody is willing to work that late and provide that level of service. This was our very first visit to the Ozarks and had a blast! Ron, Cheryl and Jim have created a very relaxed, family and pet friendly place that we intend to return to. With quick access to Captain Rons and the lake, this spot is easy to enjoy. On the front side of the park is a huge open area that has unlimited space for any level of sports entertainment. In reading previous reviews, I am not sure what the expectations were, but our stay here has been GREAT! Ron, Cheryl and Jim....thank you for memories we will have for a lifetime!

This is hands down the best RV park I have ever been to! I have never been so sad leaving a place. I definitely left a piece of my heart there. Ron, Cheryl, and Jim were the most amazing camp hosts! The park itself was clean and tidy. The rocks and ties made everything so much cleaner and easier for the campers and captain Ron’s had the best drinks! The best part is, captain Ron’s was walking distance down the most beautiful path and set of stairs with a private beach! If your looking for the best hosts, and the best RV park, and the best beach hit up scallywags! This is going to be an annual trip for us! Can’t wait to see them next year!!! Thanks Ron, Cheryl, and Jim for the fabulous hospitality!!!!

Our last week here at Scallywags has been nothing short of amazing! Ron, Jim and Cheryl have been so welcoming and constantly checking in to make sure we have everything we need. Our children have ample room to run and play, and the area is so well maintained and absolutely beautiful. We are just a short walk from the lake which we have been to daily. Our children get so incredibly excited when they see “Grandpa Ron” driving by in the golf cart and gives them a ride around camp. Our trash is constantly being taken out by Ron/Jim so we never have to worry about this. The bathrooms and shower are so well kept, there is no stink like at other campgrounds we have stayed at. This entire campground is so clean and well kept. We will absolutely be coming back annually, all 15 of us, to spend a week here at Scallywags. This has been the best vacation and the best way to kick off summer!

We just late April 2022 had the pleasure of spending a few nights and enjoyed our experience. In January 2022 new Management took over the park and have been upgrading and improving the park since. While the physical RV park is not right on the water, access to the adjacent marina, restaurant, beach, etc. is just down a staircase. The RV park itself is almost in the geographical center of the Lake of the Ozark’s region. There are some really nice views of the lake from the park. The sites are adequate in size 38’ 5th wheel fit w/o issue. My only real complaint is the location of the trash bins; which are at the far end of the property. In talking with the new site managers - a VERY nice couple - they are working on rectifying this situation. When/if this situation is corrected, I would feel it appropriate to bump my rating up to 5 stars.

What an awesome campground!! We stayed from august till end of season and loved every minute of it. The owners are the best They we’re up front with us about the boat race when I book and said that week we would have to leave for 5 days when we came back it was like we never left. Thanks again and if my wife decides to travel back to work at the hospital we will definitely be calling you up

Ron & Cheryl are amazing hosts!!! Ron brought me a fire pit & allowed me ALL the firewood I could burn!!! Shower house is nice & clean. The grounds were freshly cut grass & well kept!! And close everything WE WANTED to do!! Will be back again!!! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!!!

Ron, Jim and Cheryl were amazing during our stay here at Scallywag’s RV Park! Your hospitality has been so great and welcoming! This RV park is very clean, quiet, and close to the lake. Each day Ron would drive by on his golf cart and give our kiddos rides! He earned the nickname “Grandpa Ron”! Coming from CO every year to stay a week here at Scallywag’s!!!! Thank you all so much for the wonderful memories!

Clean place with level gravel sites. The host are very friendly and helpful. Close proximity to everything you need. Captain Ron's is down the hill and we enjoyed the music from our campsite. Would come back again.

We had a great time over the past month. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The camp host are very welcoming. While definitely come back next year. Highly recommend this place.
