He was able to diagnose a hairline fracture in my toe that others overlooked X-ray in house is great, but… when pain continued after healing, his answer was that it was all in my head and to push through it and get back to hiking as usual. Nope. I realized on my own that I had a locked joint from being immobile so long that needed P.T. I looked up a few at-home grip/splay exercises that remedied the issue completely. As a long distance hiker, I later needed help trying to find the source of an on-going problem. I reviewed all of my footwear with him. He told me I had already addressed and remedied the issue through my own footwear changes and that my brain was just remembering the old pain from months prior. Nope. Condition continued to worsen with further hiking. I grew tired of hearing my pain was all in my head and found another doctor. As a long distance hiker, I know the difference between strain and pain, but he seems to have a default setting that everything is the result of a “neural pain loop.” He was very nice, though… if only that was enough…
I was extremely nervous to undergo the procedure of having both toenails removed. Dr Scanlon made me feel at ease, talking about Harry Potter and walking me throw everything he was doing. 10/10 would recommend to anybody. I loved him
Appointment easy to make. Office staff and nurses helpfully knowledgeable and efficient. Dr Michael Scanlon hidden gem! Very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. I look forward to his continued care of my second most important body part... my feet Thank You! Paul A Staley
