Nice park. Playground has some exposed metal, some rusty, and could use some paint, it still looked safe when I visited. Playground: Must be an older playground. Needs paint in some places. Restrooms: Has restrooms. We didn't use them. I assumed they are closed for the season. Dog-friendliness: Saw a man walking a dog. Picnic area: We ate at a bench by the playground. I saw a pavilion with picnic tables.
It's a beautiful park that is hidden behind a neighborhood. We kept thinking the GPS was crazy. The playground is small but sufficient. There is a nice pavilion that was being used for a birthday party. There is also a nice paved walking trail. The parking is limited and with the birthday party it got really crowded. Nice place for a quick picnic.
We enjoyed walking the paved path around Schafer park. We especially enjoyed the prairie portion with a variety of blooming native prairie flowers which were visited by a variety of butterflies and birds eating the seeds of others including a flock of gold finches. Other amenities include: playground, pavillion, and restrooms.
Noce short walking trail. Playground. Restrooms Restrooms: Clean
Decent park. Google maps made it seem easy to get to, but you need to drive around in the neighborhood. Go south of 94 one exit and make a left. There are signs so you shouldn't get too lost. Shelter and bathroom available with a large grassy area.
A small, nice, clean park with restrooms, parking lot, playground, walking path, pavilion.
Beautiful park with easily accessible amenities for the playground & the covered picnic area. Very quiet & serene. Perfect for family Birthday parties for the kids & family reunions.
Nice little park hidden away inside a neighborhood, which keeps the crowds down. They have a nice relatively small walking path and a nice open common ground, but otherwise this is just a children's park. There is one medium sized pavilion 20-30 people tops with a grill, and a men's and women's restroom.
This is a great little park. My only problem is that the play equipment is only for 5-12 year olds. My 2-1/2 y/o wasn’t big enough for most of the climbing areas. I would give 4 stars for kiddos 5-12 years.
Like how this place is less crowded than other places, usually have a good experience. However, 6/19/19 we visited after a graduation party or parties over weekend and there was the metalic metal cut out confetti thrown all over the playground area, my 15 month old kept trying to pick it up and eat it, not safe. Had to leave.
