School Safety Solution, LLC is a teacher-owned and operated business that focuses on student safety, while keeping in mind the complexity of teacher responsibilities. As classroom teachers, co-owners Christine Bacolas and Jill Ross, are aware of the need for effective classroom window coverings for lockdown emergencies.
Co-Owner Christine Bacolas, a Virginia Tech alum, experienced the 2008 Virginia Tech shooting firsthand. This devastating event and its personal effects have impacted Christine's attitude towards superior school safety. As a new mother, Christine's mentor, Jill Ross, shares the vision of providing maximum student protection. As co-teachers sharing the same classroom space, Christine and Jill have often experienced lockdown drills together with their students. They recognized a need for an effective way to obstruct view into classrooms...leading to the development of The Hideaway Helper.
