Colbert County marketing students are getting "real world" marketing experience through the promotion of this EPIC concert with the Velcro Pygmies.
Welcome to the School House Rock Facebook page! Recently at the FBLA state competition, two of our very own students qualified for nationals! As a result we are doing some major fundraising which includes this concert! It is not only a great opportunity to raise money for the trip to nationals, but it is also going to be amazing experience for our marketing classes! The marketing classes at Colbert County High School have been given the opportunity to have real life entertainment marketing experience, such as creating a “buzz” about the event. Marketing students will be running the social media accounts and creating flyers for the concert. Some students will even be able to work with the band’s crew setting up the concert as well as helping with audio and visual.
Our concert is called School House Rock with the Velcro Pygmies. School House Rock will be held at Sherrod E Gymnasium at Colbert County High School on May 11, 2017. The event starts at 12 pm and will not just be another “usual fundraiser”. This will be an actual concert with real stage lights and a real life concert atmosphere. School House Rock will be different from any other school fundraiser you have ever been to… We hope to see you there!
