I am always greeted with a smile when I walk into his office. His staff is so very friendly. They are throughly devoted in helping you with any questions or concerns. Dr. Schumacher is an amazing doctor . In walks in with a smile always. He explains everything in detail weather it’s medicine or surgery or any other concerns you have. He listens. I recommend him his staff and practice. You won’t find any better.

I'm now 4 month post op and I am so grateful of Dr. Schumacher and his team, the best decision I made in my life and for my health was trusting them for my surgery and my weight loss journey.

I'm having a wonderful experience with Dr. Schumacher and staff, since the beginning of my first visit I feel very confident knowing that if I have a question about my process I will have the best answers to it. Dr. Schumacher is a very caring Doctor, he will take his time to explain everything to you. I cant wait to see what come next after my surgery and I'm Pretty confident and sure that I'm in good hands. Thanks for everything that you guys do.

We absolutely love Dr Schumacher... he's the real deal Dr. He spends time with you no quick in the door and quick out the doorbut answers all questions and explains things in detail. The staff are very helpful and makes yr visit less stressful...Fantastic team work!

My visit to this office was the most reassuring information I have had since my health issues started. Everything was explained to help me understand my situation. During my office visit Dr. Shumacher took time to explain what & why I have been experiencing my symptoms. Shared knowledge that set my mind at ease. that my situation is manageable!!! Dr Schumacher did my gastric sleeve. He has been wonderful, has kept me well informed, and insured that I was very comfortable before and after surgery. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon.

I am glad to be back in Dr. Schumacher care, I need someone that will take care of me and know exactly what he is doing and explains and draws pictures of everything that will take place. He is amazing and I'm glad to be back under his care and he has a wonderful staff as well....

Dr. Schumacher is a terrific surgeon. I have been working with him for almost a year in preparation for a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. I had the procedure on 7/7/2022 at Riverview Health Institute. Dr. Schumacher was informative, encouraging, and kind throughout the entire process. His confidence in his methodology was reassuring and comforting. He advocated on my behalf on numerous occasions and has a holistic understanding of weight loss, which made our appointments not feel shameful or discouraging. Riverview Health Institute provided excellent care before, during, and after the procedure. The anesthesiologist and nursing staff were patient, supportive, and wished the best for my success. They provided any education I needed for how to care for myself after the procedure and what all I should expect during my recovery. They made adjustments to provide for someone of my size and I appreciated the accommodations. The procedure went smoothly, all of the staff put me at ease, and their genuine encouragement took away my fears as a bariatric patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Schumacher and Riverview Health Institute.

Dr Schumacher was great! Him and Jamie really helped me with every question i had, making appointments and they were very informative with do's and dont's. They were very uplifting and encouraging throughout the whole process. From day 1 up to the day I went home from surgery Dr Schumacher was so nice and made me feel like I could do this. Loved the staff and Dr Schumacher. Over an hour wait but I always expect that with late appts. Started off terrible when I was finally in a room and told most likely my stomach stimulator would be approved by insurance but hospital wouldn’t allow it due to the fact that they lose money. told nurse/ receptionist I wasn’t wasting anymore of my time or theirs and that seeing the dr was unnecessary. I insisted but she insisted harder and went to get Dr Schumacher. I stood to leave as he came in. I did spend 15-20 min explaining my situation. He agreed I would benefit from surgery and a stimulator but cautioned me the hospital will likely turn it down due to low payout by Medicare/Medicaid. He told me he would email the CEO of the hospital and push for the surgery to take place. If Dr Schumacher gets approval from The Atrium or Miami Valley South I will truly be amazed. Very caring staff and professional. I do however feel as if I were there just to collect an office visit fee on their part. I could have been informed over the phone of all the info I was given in the office instead of spending an hour over appt time and 20 min with Dr plus my 51 min drive to and fro.
