The Scott Community College Foundation provides financial resources for scholarships and college enhancement by emphasizing the college's strengths.
The Scott Community College Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation that was established in 1985 to help assure educational excellence through charitable giving.
Each year the SCC Foundation receives generous gifts from Scott Community College Foundation Board members, our faculty and staff members, area businesses and organizations, and many other friends. Some of these gifts enable us to offer scholarships to a number of our deserving students. Others help us acquire new instructional equipment or launch special projects.
The mission of the Scott Community College Foundation is to provide financial resources for scholarships and college enhancement by emphasizing the college's strengths.
Maximizing private support entails understanding constituencies, cultivating the charitable intentions of individuals and organizations, expanding the base of contributors, retaining contributors, and upgrading contributors' support. It also means raising money effectively, providing stewardship to funds already raised, and operating efficiently to maximize the Foundation's viability as a fund-raising organization and its value to Scott Community College.
