Scott Lake Optimist
Scott Lake Optimist based at Scott Lake Park is a legendary athletic program that has produced some of the most talented college and professional athletes to come out of Florida. More importantly, it gave thousands of young black men/women the opportunity to compete, learn athletics and sportsmanship, and be a part of a movement/family all while being mentored, molded, and disciplined under the leadership of some of the greatest coaches and stand-up men/women in the world. Scott Lake has changed and saved a lot of lives and created a legacy that lives on to this day. This page is dedicated to everyone who has been a part of that legacy.
To provide the youth of the Northwest Miami-Dade community with the opportunity to express themselves through competition and athletic achievement administered through the tireless efforts of thousands of loving and genuinely concerned volunteers.
