Welcome to George's Handmade Boots!
Since 1968 these fine handmade boots have been worn throughout the Pacific Northwest by loggers, hunters, ranchers, linemen, hikers, and anyone else that demands lightweight, durable, long-lasting, and comfortable footwear.
George's Boots are made from full grain 5 1/2 to 6oz cowhide. Each piece of leather is graded and cut by hand to assure top quality and long life of the boot.
The full Billus tongues are of soft 3oz garment cowhide that folds around the leg smoothly.
Insoles are of 10 iron leather.
Solid brass hooks and eyelets are used.
The pieces are sewn together with strong nylon thread for seams that are smooth and water-tight.
The boot is hand lasted to exacting standards to eliminate stretching and ensure proper fit after long periods of wear. The steel shank, handmade at George's, is installed for a permanent arch that gives long-lasting comfort and will not "break-down."
George's Boots are full stitch down constructed to your choice of soles for a strong, light-weight, dust, and waterproof boot. And extra long heel is used for more support to the arch and also to help eliminate "running-over" of the boot.
George makes not only boots, but buckaroo, horse-shoeing, and riding chaps, saddle bags, stirrups, fisherman fly books, knife sheathes and much more!
