Scott-Six Storage

We use Scott Six Self Storage as extra storage space for our home. The whole gang that works at the storage unit have always been so helpful and happy to work with us, they make us feel really welcome. I rented for about a year and on one occasion I needed to temporarily downsize from a larger unit to a smaller unite. They were very helpful allowing us to do that. I would have expected them to say "no" because they would make more $$$ off me if they kept me in the larger unite, but instead, I got "We understand! why pay extra for space you don't need right now." Funny thing, I never actually met the owners in person. They have a great online customer portal that lets you make/ schedule payments and a few other features. I did speak with them on the phone frequently, and when they didn't answer right away, I always got a call-back. Typically storage units can be strange places or out of the way... but not this one! It's a short drive but its near a Fairways, so I always made visiting the unites the same morning as grocery shopping, VERY CONVENIENT! Its a great location. Would give 6 stars if I could!

We have had a storage unit here for over 10 years. New owners are terrible, we haven't been able to get into our unit due to snow and ice for a month and they won't clear it! Paying for literally nothing.

Rat infested storage buildings. Literally there are rats inside the units. Paid for six weeks but only used unit for 1 month and new ownership would not give any credit back even when we called letting them know about how rats had left droppings all over our daughters toiletries,dishes,clothes, etc. everything was contaminated. Would not recommend using this unit at all! Not just because of the rats but the lack of any concern or empathy for their customers or their belongings!! Unless you’re ok w rats climbing all over your possessions,I’d find anyplace to store your stuff.

I love the storage unit. It is clean and dry. However, in the winter the ice and snow build up against the door and you are going to have to clear it to get in. For example, we had a snow and ice storm 12/28. It is 1/7 and I still had to take my chopper and my shovel and clean it out. My unit is right by the drain spout so that is why I had so much frozen ice. In addition, you have to mail your payment by snail mail which is not that convenient. Seems there is a better no cost solution they could use. Otherwise, it is awesome and a much needed service in this area.

It was easy to rent a unit through Scott-Six Storage. I could do it online, but I had a few questions. So I called and the office assistant answered all my questions. I was able to rent the unit quickly and easily with the one phone call.

We have been doing business with Scott Six Storage for nearly 10 years now. Property is always clean and secure. Recently underwent some management upgrades and you can now pay online. Storage rental is an unavoidable expense for us and the cost does get out of hand over the years.

Had to fill out paperwork 3 times. Expected me to drive 50 miles each way. On a Friday afternoon sent me an email demanding I come now or they were putting locks on storage units for customer I had stored stuff in. I had prepaid , not quite sure . But rude , like I should drop what I'm doing to fill out paperwork I drove to hiawatha to do once already.

Facility is clean, dry and I was able to have 24-7 access!!! The staff was so helpful and patient! They actually talked me through the application process over the phone and we were able to do everything electronically.

I loved renting from here. Its always very clean, and its amazing having a locked facility. The staff is always willing to work with your schedule and is always very friendly when answering the phones and dealing with them face to face.

I would recommend Scott-Six to everyone. Very clean and this rain the past few days my unit has stayed dry.. . The office staff are always nice and helpful.. THANK YOU!
