The Scranton Electricians Apprenticeship Program works in conjunction with IBEW Local 81, The Electrical Training Alliance and NECA to provide the best trained, most up to date electrical workforce in the country. We are a privately funded training program sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
Our apprentices will receive training in telecommunications wiring, fiber optics, fire alarms, programmable logic controllers, power quality, safe work practices, the National Electrical Code, and much more. By time the apprentice reaches journeyman status, they will have earned the equivalent of 47 semester hours of college credits, according to the American Council of Education.
Apprentices receive 900 hours of classroom instruction over their 5 years of apprenticeship as well as 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, and competitive benefit packages! Classes are typically two nights a week from September to May with additional training as deemed necessary and volunteer opportunities at various local organizations. Earn up to $80,000 after five years! Contact us today to learn more about what our apprenticeship has to offer you!
