Food and drinks were excellent, especially the goat cheese appetizer and the red/white/blue wine flight. The interior of the restaurant feels a little cramped and more like a store, so I recommend the patio if it’s not too hot outside. The hostess was a bit gruff, but our server was fun and knowledgeable. Overall, I recommend giving it a try.

I just hosted a surprise birthday party at Screwtop & the event exceeded my expectations! We had 3 wines, lots of appetizers & everyone enjoyed every sip & bite. The event planner, Wendy created happy birthday placards with my husband’s name & a description of each wine - unexpected, appreciated, & elegant. The staff was extraordinary & very patient. The 10 guests wanted to mingle & did not want to be seated & we held up the service. All the staff were engaging & quickly attended to any special requests.. Thank you Wendy & Screwtop Wine Bar for a perfect celebration!

I had never been to a wine bar before. In fact, I felt a little out of place until the friendly staff made me feel welcome. They all seem to love their jobs and they love to teach you about wine. Wine flights are a great way to enjoy and compare several different wines to see what it is you like and don’t like. They have an extensive wine list and a full kitchen with some unusual flavorful offerings. Sitting at the bar is the most entertaining unless you have a bigger group. For six or more you can reserve one of two tables off to the side of the store which is away from the noise of the bar. Or outside seating when it’s warmer. We enjoyed flights of Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc. We had a delicious cheese plate, spicy empanadas, savory Tuscan chicken flatbread, olives, almonds and corn nuts. Our waitress told us about our wines and answered all of our questions. She even brought us free samples of their frozen white wine and strawberry icy drink to try. This is a great place to hang out, drink wine, eat good food, and converse with friends. It’s also a wine and cheese store, so you can bring home what you like.

JR and the rest of the team at Screwtop are seriously the most incredible wait staff team i've ever encountered. Not to mention the food and the wine are out of this world. This place is a gem!!!!

I'm relatively new to Arlington and Screwtop has quickly become my favorite local spot! I frequently stop by for dinner and wine flights and have consistently been impressed with the excellent wine, food and knowledgable staff. I'm also a member of the wine club and cannot recommend it enough for any fellow winos! Each month we receive two high-quality red wines and a cheese for pairing - this is great for anyone who, like me, struggles to pick out wine on their own but wants to be a bit adventurous! Additionally, this past weekend my boyfriend worked with the owner, Wendy, to plan a surprise birthday party and it was such a memorable evening! They hand-selected wines for the flight and customized the entire experience. Thank you to the entire Screwtop team for hosting an excellent event!

Wendy and the entire team at Screwtop could not be MORE accommodating and helpful! They went above and beyond to help my sister's bridal shower brunch a special occasion - including custom menus, a custom tasting flight, coordination on decor and just fabulous service the day of. On top of that it was SO reasonably priced and the food and drink was all delicious! Highly highly recommend.

One of our favorite places in the area. Great sandwiches, soups, and snacks. Try the truffle popcorn or baked goat cheese. Specialty drinks for holidays, brunch, etc.

I hosted a birthday party with 12 people - the staff went above and beyond. I worked closely with Wendy and Jenna to pick wines and apps, and we had a dedicated server - Jenna - who with us during the whole party. Jenna made us feel like family - she was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging. Everything was delicious and the pacing was perfect - Jenna was a great communicator and we touched base regularly during the event. Jenna you are a gem <3

Ok New Yorkers. This is a fine place. With quips like “Everything Happens for a Riesling” and “My Pinoir is Bigger than Yours” you know this has to be a fun place. Yeah the wine selection is robust but what makes this place NY quality is the ambience, great and unique dish pairings, and the entire staff that acknowledges you. The draft beer selections are awesome including proven selections from outside the region. Other places around here push local brews exclusively...I get it. Seriously though, come here and get into the spirit. Join the club and get into the mood. Read all the funny lines and engage with the crew. Enjoy a hard day’s flight.

I went here for wine tasting and tried the Valentine's Day flight. The wine, food, and service was really good. I would highly recommend this place.
