Our accommodations reflect the rustic, organic architecture that The Sea Ranch community pioneered to decades of acclaim. Recent and stylish updates bring contemporary comforts to the renowned design heritage. Our restaurant Black Point Grill offers a seasonal menu crafted from northwest Sonoma County’s fresh, local ingredients, transforming them into innovative, delicious fare that matches the exceptional ocean-view setting. Dining is enhanced further by an expansive selection of regional wines. Weddings are planned to be naturally beautiful.

"The Sea Ranch Lodge, set in Sonoma County on 53 acres of dramatic Northern California coastline was built in 1968 and one of the oldest buildings in The Sea Ranch. The North Building has been completely reimagined and offers 17 intimate guest rooms for a quiet, coastal escape that inspires guests to respond to – and live in harmony with – the natural elements. Following the complete restoration and revitalization of the Lodge’s public spaces in October 2021 and the debut of The Sea Ranch Living home rental program earlier this year. The Sea Ranch Lodge’s South Building boasts a Dining Room, Solarium, Bar + Lounge, Café, and General Store all available for Sea Ranch guests and residents to enjoy."

The ocean views and convenience to the trails and beach is superb. Service is so bad it's funny. Rooms are fairly simple. You're paying for the view and location. All in all enjoyable, but not up to par for the price in terms of quality and service.
The lodge just re-opened after a major renovation. The room are beautiful - spacious, modern with incredible views of the ocean. The bar, restaurant and lounge are beautiful, food is good and service great. The property is to me, the main attraction - there are walking paths from the lodge to some absolutely spectacular cliffs and ocean scenery. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but most everything is along the California coast.
I rated 2 stars because of the location, and beautiful philosophy of Sea Ranch, otherwise, it’d be a 1 for The Sea Ranch Lodge itself. After years of waiting for its re-opening, I was disappointed. The Lodge experience is not what it used to be. It now hosts weddings, so when we stayed, the wedding had the Lodge’s full attention, while the rest of the guests were left in the back burner. It was difficult to find seating to enjoy the views, and the room wasn’t properly cleaned. To top it off, we felt discriminated against. All in all, The Sea Ranch Lodge experience is no longer what it used to be, and we no longer felt welcomed or treated right. I recommend a visit to Sea Ranch for its preserved natural beauty, but I will no longer recommend guests to stay at The Sea Ranch Lodge. It’s not worth the cost for the service and experience we received.
Food in remote places is often underwhelming, but not here! Very nice food and an amazing view. We went to the cafe for lunch and then a walk outside.. amazing location. So pristine. So untouched.. free of crowds!Service: 5/5
I guess they re did the lodge here, now it hosts private events, and there is a small hotel and a sit down restaurant, a Cafe with the same food and coffee but no table service, a gift shop and then some indoor and outdoor sitting areas. It's an architectural marvel and a fascist nightmare at the very same time! The design is incredible! The food is pretty decent! The workers are doing their best ok just chill out an enjoy the experience and don't think about the fact that the California coastal commission was literally created to deal with sea ranch. The issue of them closing the lodge for private events is a real one, like, what are you supposed to do if you are paying 700 a night to stay here and there is no place to eat? Genuinely would like to know the answer if sea lodge cares to respond. Nearby activities: Walking around! Safety: Very. Walkability: Highly. Food & drinks: Eat at the lodge that's it! Noteworthy details: Architectural marvel.
Came here on the way, and ended up with a beer and s burger. The burger was good, but nothing special, clean and great; the fries were OK. What disappointed me was the service. For $40 I didn’t get a smooth delivery, didn’t get a clean table also wasn’t wiped as promised, and after asking for silverware.. I also didn’t get it, not did I have a chance to be blessed with a napkin or paper towel. I have a feeling that NONE of the front house have ever worked in a restaurant, less a high end one that this establishment tries to act like. Overall the view did compensate, but I’d never bring any of my clients here.
We had dinner at the bar. Wait service was slow and we had to ask to have our order taken. But the food was great. The Lodge burger and fries was amazing!Service: 4/5
I am rating the restaurant only. I don't think that the hotel is open yet. I have the short ribs in wine sauce. Top notch. My husband had the pork chop, and it was very high caliber. The galette was very nice. Forget the food, come for the views. Besides they have EV charging stations!Service: 5/5
Seriously cannot miss this little lodge. Great place to stop and have a coffee and food. Awesome views, go for a little hike, and admire its comfortable spaces inside. Must stop if driving highway 1.
Stopped in for a bite after a nice hike in the redwoods. It was the perfect place to take in the sunset with tasty food. We only had the bar menu available but the cheese plate and chicken Caesar were both delicious. Service was top notch. But the views are reason enough to go here. Definitely go for a stroll to the bluff.Service: 5/5
