The family of funeral directors here who have been doing service to the community for almost half a century truly take you in as members of their family as they care for you and your loved one at your time of loss. I’ve had the honor of working with them for both my father & sister’s funerals. Jack, Eric and Mark are dedicated professionals putting your needs to honor your loved one first. In times of great emotion, they are rocks of stability and support. The best complement I can give them is that I would want them to take care of me when the time comes. Call them before you need them and they can help you even more by helping with pre-arrangements that take the stress off your family at time of passing. I’m glad I did.
Eric was incredibly kind, understanding, patient and empathetic helping our family navigate through our loss. His guidance and knowledge was invaluable during this time. We know our loved one was taken care of with respect and our family is grateful for that.
Highest Praise For Eric Wilsey, 4th Generation Director Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Saugerties NY _____________________________________________________ Some years ago I helped a friend transition and learned then about Hospice, whom I fell in love with. I had no prior exposure to such an event and, in the din of unrest, cultivated a precious respect for the groundedness & sanity availed by that cadre of support. The recent death of our loved one was abrupt & disorienting and, if you do or you don’t know the ropes - steeped both in gritty and bureaucratic protocol. Thank Goodness, Funeral Director Eric Wisley was triaged to our case, as it were. When given the option to switch service providers, staying with Seamon-Wilsey was a no-brainer. Mr Eric Wilsey, a generational expert, is beautifully suited to the heavy craft of Funeral Direction; his chops are honed & seasoned. Eric tended to our entire ordeal with utmost accountability & professionalism. He instilled confidence that our affairs were punctually & properly signed, sealed & delivered. Especially, Eric’s demeanor was pitch-perfect in the face of our shock and throughout the full sequence of our exchange. He elicited my appreciation for the Hospice staff, those years ago, and deserves recognition that such skill is part of his domain of expertise. We are SO appreciative for the services provisioned by The Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home and forever endeared to Eric Wilsey. Be You Well, M Heinze
Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home came highly recommended to me by a neighbor. From our first meeting, Jack Wilsey was kind, understanding, and professional in presenting everything I needed to know and was patiently responsive to all my questions. As I planned the service and interment for my husband, Jack and Eric offered invaluable support, always responding to my emails, working together to confirm each detail which resulted in a smoothly run service and interment. At the Celebration of Life service, several guests commented on the professional, friendly, courteous, and kind nature of both Jack and Eric. They felt supported as we collectively grieved and celebrated my husband’s long life.
Jack and Eric were absolutely amazing, sincere and genuine. I had no idea what I was doing. I am active duty military and my father was 92. Jack took all of the stress off of my shoulders. Jack and Eric were there to help at all times of the day. I do not know how many hours they spent making sure that my family was taken care of but I am thankful. It was the most beautiful celebration of life and I am grateful that they were there. Please spend some time with your families! Jack, my father would have been proud, thank you for everything. If you are reading this and trying to decide on a funeral home, look no more. Call them and see for yourself how wonderful they are. Sgt Talmadge
I recently attended a service at this funeral home. I would like to say that Eric was respectful and helpful during the tragic event. However, Jack was repeatedly short tempered and at one point out right rude to a direct relative of the departed. So much so that the individual left crying as a result of how she was treated instead for the loss being experienced. Jack's behavior was shameful. After talking to the rest of the family several others stated they had similar interactions with Jack.
My best friend for my whole life, my father, passed very suddenly September 10th of this year and broke mine, my 17yr old Brother and 16yr old Sister's heart. So, Myself being 26yrs old made me the next of kin, which means I'm the one that has to sort everything out and make major decisions RIGHT AFTER My whole world as I knew it had fallen apart and shattered into a million pieces ... when he passed it was after midnight, and they called the nearest funeral home to pick my father up being it was so late, and that funeral home ended up being Seamon-Wilsey. I'd never done anything like this, neither had my mother, but she tried to help guide me, and I kept all my siblings involved and gave them a part in anything that was done, but all the stress of dealing with everything lightened so much thanks to the help of Eric Wilsey. From the first conversation, I felt as if I was speaking to an old friend, and he was very good about getting Me in to have an appointment in regards to my father. We told him we had no clue what we were doing and he broke everything down in a way that was very easy to understand, and in Doing such, helped it so it took very little time to make the arrangements and book services for My father. We had his Funeral 4 days after his initial passing and Eric stayed in constant contact up to the services and even to now while we waited for his Ashes to return home to us, and keeping us informed on our jewelry orders as well. Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home worked with us on expenses, they had and still have continued demonstrating absolutely wonderful communication, they made my father look so handsome, and he truly looked so peaceful, the best I've seen him look in YEARS,, and he truly looked like he was taking a nap, the presentation of fower arraignments, the lighting, my slideshow, and the compassionate closing out poem read by Eeic was absolutely perfect and the kindness and patience with us throughout this whole thing and made the already extremely difficult situation much easier to deal with so our burden was lightened an enormous amount. They have been a Godsend . In the future, I see myself dealing with them again when necessary, I will absolutely praise them and share among family and friends, and here on Google to try to save at least some struggle from another hurting family out there that just needs exactly what we did, and have the same experience. I'm forever grateful for them.
We are so grateful to Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion provided to our family during a very difficult time. Eric listened to every request and did not miss a detail. Our heartfelt thanks for literally taking care of everything. It was a beautiful tribute to our Mom.
A very big thank you to Jack and Eric at Seamon-Wilsey. They both made my dad’s passing easier to get through with their genuine care and help. Arranging a funeral is not the easiest thing to do but they are there to help you through this difficult process. We would highly recommend their services. The Family of Bert Lareau
Jack and Eric were wonderful with myself and my 2 kids. After losing my husband, Jack walked me thru what I needed to do and was very kind and was quick to answer any questions or guide me through what I needed to do. Eric and Jack were both wonderful, respectful and attentive to our needs. I’m very thankful to have had them during such a difficult time.
