Employees are friendly, however owner can treat their customers a little better in my book and thats why I gave 2 stars in general. We haven't been back for years because my wife's new dishwasher was dented and he refuse to send a new dishwasher out and replace it but would rather give us a $50 credit for the sent that installer did.
I highly recommend this sears hometown store. I buy a lot of craftsman tools from them. They even have some tools that you can't find on the sears website, like the older made in USA models. Their customer service is great tom and luz make you feel welcome and are great at answering any questions you might have.
Needed a flashlight and some batteries so I stopped in. Wonderful local service. This Sears Hometown has some awesome owners. Great people to chat with and they'll go out of their way to help you.
We stopped in just to look around for a washer and dryer but Tom the owner sold us on a stackable Kenmore in white and we found out it includes the frame to stack it on. We saved a couple hundred dollars. We like when we can save a little here and there. To be delivered on Monday. It will be our Christmas present to each other!

So, my wife got me a smoker for christmas. She chose the porterville store for pick up because they had it in stock. Im really glad she did. From the moment i got to the store it felt like a small town atmosphere. Tom greeted me and I told him why i was there. Of course he was excited to see some one come to his store from over a hour away. We talked like we were old friends. I will definitely go back to this store location. Tom it was a pleasure meeting you and I will see your store again.
Our family has always purchased household appliances from Sears store. When we moved to Porterville in 1989 we continued to support Sears and met Tom and Luz Hughes at their local Sears store. Through the years we are still to purchasing our appliances from them. You will never find better service than you receive from Porterville’s Sears Hometown store. Not only are Tom, Luz and staff knowledgeable on their appliances, they are all very respectful. From the owners to the delivery staff - top notch all the way.... Support our local Sears Hometown store, you won’t regret it....
They have great customer service and are very knowledgeable on appliances and tools. They have the best prices and can always get you what you need faster than Lowe's or home Depot!
The white man not the old fat one BUT the other white man acts like a jerk and disrespectful. Specially to Hispanics. He just wants you to spend lots of money on cheap craftsman tools that have a Horrible warranty. The lady is in a rush and thinks that you will still stuff The employees are like shrek donkey, lazy Last time I shop here and buy craftsman garbage.
