My Kenmore Elite fridge went out again almost a year to the date on July 20th,2020. The compressor was replaced July 2019. The technician came on July 28th to diagnose and order parts. Repair was scheduled for Aug.11. Parts were replaced including another compressor. Technician was here from10-2pm. My fridge is still not working and now with a f5 error code. I called Sears the following morning. After being transferred the 5 time, I was told I would need to call back in 24 hrs to schedule a follow up appointment. They didn't have the technicians notes of repairs that were made and they would need these before setting up a new repair appointment. I spent the following day Aug.13 again on hold for almost 2 hours to reach the right department to schedule a follow up on an existing repairs. There offshore call center is set up for scheduling new repairs only... not existing repairs. Finally I got a new appointment...Aug.28th... another 2 weeks. By this time I will have had no fridge for 6 weeks. Anticipating another diagnosis and ordering of parts which means another 2 weeks for repairs. This will put me into September without a fridge. This is under my Sears Home Appliance Warranty program that I pay $50 per mo. So I can have peace of mind Chehalis,Wa

I made a huge mistake trying to clean the inside glass of my oven. Sears warranty covered it and made it good as new! Thank you so much.
It was horrible. After 2 months without our washer due to parts arriving broke our tech said he would have to order another part and then later called and said his boss ok’d replacing the washer so no part ordered. Then after not hearing from anybody I was on phone several times which each time takes at least an hour for someone to pick up I was told the job was marked complete and that I did not qualify for replacement. Had I not called I’d still be waiting. Now a tech is coming this week to look at washer and then order part will then be at least a week and then also have to schedule repair another hour on phone This has been so aggravating to deal with I’d have been better off buying a new washer and definitely not a Kenmore eliteService: Washing machine repair
The service provider was great- courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. The Sears company approach to service is terrible. The policy is to only visit our area every two weeks, and the service provider does not carry parts, so it is a month before the appliance is fixed. When the service provider called in sick, it was another two weeks before repairs were done. I cannot recommend buying the service agreement, nor extended warrantee. It looks like Home Depot has a more service oriented plan.
I believe our technician came from Vancouver or Portland, but I am not sure. Our Kenmore Elite refrigerator is only about 17 months old. We bought what we thought was a quality product. Our first appointment was cancelled at the last minute and we had to reschedule. Prior to the technician's arrival on Thursday the refrigerator was working, but was making a loud noise on occasion. They ordered two parts after the first visit out and the technician put in one on Thursday morning. Now almost $700 later, he left without the refrigerator working properly. We called in a couple of hours of his leaving. They said they would have the technician call or come back, no call and no show. We called back two more times that day and still no resolution. Now it is Sunday and the refrigerator is still not working correctly. We feel they did little to get our problem resolved, even though the technician did something wrong. There was no sense of urgency. So far we are not happy with the service from Sears Repair. The actual labor for the repair took very little time possibly 15-20 minutes, yet the cost was about $350 for that and the original diagostics. That rate does not seem reasonable to us and was not adjusted even though only one part was put in. Now we are concerned going forward with our Sears appliances and the service we may need in the future, especially if they don't hold up. Marlene Hardwick
I had preventative maintenance done. My technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. My only complaint is that Sears had such a large time window that you had to wait around for the appointment. However, once you click on the emailed link, the time window was 2 hours instead of 4.
EDIT: I responded via email the day that I got a reply to my review on here with my phone number and details of the issue, and no one followed up or responded. That was 12 days ago. Careful people, you will not get your money back and you are not "protected" if they don't fix the problem. Good luck getting ahold of anybody with Sears home services. This process has been a joke. I have previously had a really positive repair experience with Sears. When the time came to get my refrigerator repaired, I figured I would go with them again because they did a good job for me before and I figured they were a reputable company. They dispatched someone to diagnose my fridge. The individual stated that this particular version of samsung fridge isn't able to be repaired due to a closed system i don't know much about these things They then got on the phone with someone and they decided that of the 4 "boards" was fried due to a power outage that had recently happened. They ordered a new inverter board nearly 600 dollars later and set up a new appointment. nearly 3 weeks later the board finally arrived and someone else came out to install it. The installation guy seemed very surprised about the job he was completing and acted like it wasn't going to solve our problem but did it anyways. He took the old board and told us it would take 24 hours to notice a difference. 24 hours later, the fridge was still on 52 degrees. I called the sears home services number they had left me with and said it still wasn't working and they told me someone would call me within 24-48 hours. This was nearly a week ago and I have called them at least 4 more times since then and no one knows anything about my issue and they keep telling me that someone will call me. No body has called me, I'm out almost $600 right before the holidays and I haven't had a working refrigerator in over ONE MONTH. I can't get a reply from anyone in this dang company and I find it especially shady that both the techs acted like the fridge couldn't be fixed but went ahead with ordering and installing an inverter board and now i have a broken fridge and a brand new board and can't get ahold of a single person to come retrieve their board and refund my money. I'm beyond disappointed, Its pretty funny how they have no issues taking money from you ASAP but trying to get ahold of them to fix THEIR OWN MISDIAGNOSIS is like pulling teeth.
