Needed to buy a refrigerator at the last minute since mine died. Went in and found one I wanted. They were out of stock. They had about 8 similar ones with similar prices but did not have them in stock either. I was told they could order one and have it in a few days. I couldn't wait so I settled for one I didn't really want. I was told that they don't keep much stock on hand for pickup. So out of 8 options I looked at they only had one. I even asked to buy a display and was told no unless it was one they weren't going to get in again, well it seems to me that the only way they would get it in again is if someone bought it and they had it shipped to the store. Also online it says free delivery. In the store they told me you can only get free delivery with a sears card. That seems ridiculous since they don't keep product in the store for pickup. My sales associate great he was very helpful and friendly. He did all that he could to help. Sears in general is the problem.
I use craftsman tools as my main tool brand. No point in paying more for others when you have a lifetime warranty and other brands that were once USA made are now foreign made. Sears has the largest selection of tools but the associates don't seem to be around every time I need assistance. Appliances are cheaper other places. Tires are cheaper other places. Don't really know how they stay open. Update: Just found out they are closing this location. Funny, I see more employees now then ever before. It felt like an actual store now that they are closing. I was asked more times if I needed help in one trip now that they are closing then I was asked in the past 10 yrs. I still love craftsman tools but ace hardware across the street carries them now.
I love this store. The manager is the nicest lady and the majority of the employees are very helpful. They really care about the customer. I've even had good conversations with some of them when they aren't super busy. The Shop Your Way rewards program is so worth it. Sometimes I've even gotten 100% back in points. And on top of that, the store just has good deals all around. I definitely recommend shopping here.
This store has gone downhill steadily. I have to go online to find the store hrs. Because the auto dept. Sign says 8-6 everyday. Then you go there to get a road hazard warranty, and find out they discontinue or no longer carry the type you have been using. So they screw you by having to buy another complete set of tires so you do not have a mix match. Then the manager will not call any other store to see if they still have your match. Because he is a butt head. Once they sell you the tires or product then they tell you, we'll let's see if we have any in Stock. Rubber tires have a shelf life. If they sit to long and put they on your truck at retail price, then a few weeks later you have a blow out. Then they want to haggle over your road hazard warranty, you paid for. This is B.S. I keep my tires at proper pressure always, I rotate and balance at the proper miles. Then they want to accuse me of mistreating my tires, when they do the work. GEEZES, give me a break. After I wear out this set of tires, I will no longer use sears again, not for auto, lawn, appliances.... Nothing after 25 years with sears. I AM DONE!!! SEARS, is going out and I can see why!! GOOD RIDDENS!!
A few weeks ago I went in with cash in hand to buy a riding mower. I asked the sales clerk for assistance and the very first thing she said was that the more I wanted was no longer on sale and she pulled down the sale price that was still posted. Then she refused to sell me the more I wanted because she didn't have one in the Box and her philosophy was to not sell one unless it was in the box. She told me I would have to wait till next week to get one. I went to Walmart and bought one and three managers help me load it on my truck.
I have to give it up for Robert your service guy. He waited an extra 30 minutes so I could get a battery for pickup. He rescued me this evening. He has made me a customer if the Midwest City store even though I live in Yukon. Loyal customer Charles Shuck
Purchased a lawnmower with CASH. Went to pick it up; they scan your receipt before you get your purchase. Clerk demands driver license to SCAN INTO THIER SYSTEM!!!! NOPE! Gee, I wonder why identity theft is such a problem. I PAID you CASH, give me my freaking lawnmower! Nope, gotta steal all your information for all time. Got my money back and left. Never again will I set foot in a Sears store.
I tried to use my suprise points on tools to buy screwdrivers and they refused to let me use them. I even showed them the points on my phone . No wonder these people are going out of business. They lost mine after 40 years.
went in to get a belt put on my Chevy truck 2 hours later ,waiting at the store , they say the belts don't fit & they are unable to get any, i asked them to put old ones back on & went down the street to local shop & they had the same belts on in 15 Min. Also experienced the way they try to manipulate the waiting time clock on picking up items & survey's Management is corrupt & in turn all the staff are as well, this was & is as I saw it!
It's hard to review. As of 8/26/17, Midwest City Sears closes it's doors in 9 days. I got a nice dress for $8.
