Guys Craftsman Tools is the reason I am here they have excellent tools! This is the only Sears left in my area let's support Craftsmans everywhere by shopping here! The awesome LED Craftsman mini flashlight is the best invention since sliced bread and at$4.99 each I picked up 10! 5 different colors to choose from!
No customer service and disorganized store with non-purchases piled at the checkout. So much stuff packed in there is no walking room in the departments. The single island style checkout is a good concept but does not work without cashiers. Four registers with two cashiers and nothing moved for over 20 mins. One had a woman that wantwd her points verified, something the clerk could not do and they were waiting for verification. The other had a non-English speaking person that had shopped and bought a lot they could not pay for so they were going through opening a charge to pay for it - and the clerk did not speak Spanish. We were next but after 20 miins and all clerks waiting we left without making a purchase. Sloppy store, substandard service, no sense of how to prioritize or get assistance.....no wonder stores are closing.
I go to Dr strassman sorry if I'm spelling that wrong! for my glasses. They have lots of nice glasses to choose from. The doctor makes the eye exam comfortable and less scary. He's also very nice and walks me thru my prescription for vision. I get lots of compliments on my glasses. The doctor says glasses are a fashion statement and I agree!
Its nice to see items in stock again after the year long bankruptcy proceedings that made the store look like goodwill and a garage sale had a love child. Hearing it announced once every five minutes that the store would be closing soon from 5pm until 6 was pretty annoying. Wound up buying one item rather than the 12 we had selected....because the other 11 were not needed and clearly, it was more important to get customers out of the store than to help them.
Always score well with the rewards at Sears. Miss having them so accessible.
I don't have to wonder why Sears is going out of business. I've shopped with them for over 40 years; even got my first credit card through them. I have countless items that I have bought from Sears over the years and was planning another major purchase with them for a riding mower; I now vow to never go back. I had a return, items still sealed in package, easy to see nothing had been touched, original sales receipt and I just really wanted to do an exchange for something else as it was a duplicate gift planning to spend a bit more for what I needed. I live out of the area from my local Sears and as it was a birthday gift I had bought I had shopped ahead of the event, so when I returned, it was outside of their very short 30 day return policy. I asked for a manager after receiving the disappointing news of their refusal to accommodate, as I figured it was just an exchange for different tools, no worries right? Guess again, the manager responded that since the tools were still new in their package, I could just keep them and give them away to someone else for a gift? Seriously, instead of doing the right thing, rising to the occasion to provide excellent customer service, proving loyal customer have value and do the easy exchange, he casually tells me I can take a flying leap and keep the $50 worth of tools I didn't need and spend even more money while I was there? The smarter idea is to never spend another single solitary dime on anything at Sears, for which I offered up to him and I left the store without buying the items I wanted in exchange, as if I can't buy tools elsewhere. Furthermore, Sears and the powers that can't run their stores effectively can take the flying leap off the nearest Sears store that closes its doors. It's not like their customers haven't shared everything that they are doing wrong, it's all over the internet and in fact it's hard to find a good review. I used to be melancholy over the loss of Sears, but since Sears chooses not to make changes to improve consumer confidence through their customer service, I join those who will help ensure their demise.
I absolutely love sears and craftsman tools but the last 3 or 4 times that I've been there they haven't had the tool that I needed. Found the empty slot where it should have been, but not in stock. Please stock your store better!
I went to go buy something while I had a gift card and they were still in business. No employees to help you in any way. The store had screwdrivers all over the top and garden area to take up shelf space to not make it look empty. The cashier didn't know how to run the register and was easily flustered. I had to show her how to take gift cards. I feel bad for the employees but if you want to be successful, have to make them happy. They ate on a sinking ship and no way out. As compared to other stores I have seen, they have way more product than most, but it's slipping away. Go now if you want something is my opinion.
I was helped by a very knowledgeable guy by the name of Bob at the Everett mall store and he made my purchase a breeze. I have always had great luck with all my stops at Sears. Very reasonable prices for quality products. Thanks Bob
Terrible customer service!! Arrived at the store related to an online order for store pickup and a damaged tool return damaged in shipping. Despite directions to go to the store they advised I could not return a shipped item to the store. Sent to three departments and then waited 20 minutes for help with my $35.00 jumper cables I ordered online just needed to pick them up I left the store without ever talking to the person in the last department because noone was at the work station for 15 minutes; but they told me they would be "right back". 45 minutes of my day lost and I still do not have my product I paid for last week.
