Got a gorgeous ring from my boyfriend, he decided to get the care plan as well. At first I was getting super great customer service from the Sears employees every time I came in. Then the band of the ring cracked and we turn it in to get it fixed. Low and behold, even though the care plan INCLUDED a cracked band, they said they were unable to fix i due to how much we paid for the ring. Even though I had specifically asked about the price when dealing with the care plan. Okay so I guess I’ll just exchange it for something else. I’m told next that I cannot exchange it. Okay so I’ll get a refund. What do you know, I can’t get a full refund! Only a partial refund and all the employees treating me like I’m stupid. And I can’t get the ring back. Not only did I lose a gorgeous ring, but now the partial refund we got can’t even be used to get anything. Thanks a lot Sears. Your jewelry business is a scam.
I have been shopping here since they opened back in I think it was 1974 and have many great memories of things I have purchased over the years. These include my first mechanics tool box, my wife's sewing machine, our first VCR and countless other things. Shopping there today was a little bittersweet as the sign said they have only 5 days till they are permanently closing. I will truly miss coming here as its closing also gives me less reason to shop at the Deptford Mall but the memories will last a lifetime.
When it was still open, Sears was a store with a little bit of everything for everyone, but alas, times have changed and in the long run, they lost out to smaller, better businesses and online sales. Now that it's closed, and I can absolutely assure you, it's CLOSED, the empty shell of building will not vacant for quite some time.
Another childhood memory will be gone forever. I loved the Sears Christmas Catalog as a child. I cant believe the stores of my yourh are all but gone. The sale is good. I recommend going there quickly
Sadly they Marked up the prices, so when it the 20% off it was still more than the regular competitive price. Say a Kitchen Aid.. $269.. go over to Walmart and you pay $189.00 same exact one. No wonder they are closing
I grew up hearing the name Sears at Christmas and when it was time to do yard work or buy a "Craftsman Top Quality" Tool... but not anymore. Sears has been going out of business for years now, they should just put it to rest. Service is almost nonexistent if you have an issue and as for their craftsman top quality tools they pretty much are missing the mark. I regret buying a tractor and paying exorbitant fee for an extended service contract that when the service man came to the house, he explained to me that in the small print on the contract my case/ problem doesn't fit. As you can guess I will not be purchasing anything Sears anymore.
So sad they are closing. I honestly can't believe this is happening to them and K-Mart. Sears looks like it is still going to be open in moosetown. Not sure where but I'm hopingvthat they wont close that location. This store is the only place I can find great shirts for my other half at a reasonable price and with a big variety for what he likes.
Sat at register for 15 min no one came to ring me out so I left without purchase. Used to have great service and loads of tools now tool department is pretty much empty very sad Craftsmen tools are only hand tools I have.
This is the worst Sears that I've ever been to ! And don't even think about going in a half hour before or anytime right before it closes because the employees will be very nasty to you and hint at you to get out ! I did not know they closed a half hour before the mall does 9pm so at 840 last night I went to try on a couple things and one of the employees yells at me and my boyfriend saying to him "you know you can't go in the dressing room " yes I think at 25 years old he knows he can't go in a women's dressing room! Then she yells across the store that I can only bring in five things which is fine because that's all I had in my hand ! Seriously will never shop here again! Seriously think about getting some better employees because I've worked in retail for the past two years and I would never treat customers like they do !
I like Sears I have been shopping at Sears For 50 years, they have always carried a great line of products. That are usually a few bars above lots of stores. The deptford mall Sears store is very nice store very clean and well stocked with great quality products . Its handy capped accessible rest rooms free parking. Friendly helpful service. No hassle returns. They have great sales depending What your looking for. Great store for products you'll get your money worth out of What you purchase.
