Share review Embed review Write an update Edit review My wife and I have called Sears Appliance Repair on 2 occasions. The first time was on a refrigerator repair and that experience was a good one. The 2nd recent experience was on a Samung built-in microwave/oven. In July, we scheduled an appointment for the earliest appointment that was available which was 2 weeks out. The repair tech was a no-show on that day with no communication with us that he would not make their appointment window. We then rescheduled for the next window which was another 3 weeks out. Again, a no-show from Sears Appliance and only after we called the service number did we get a text message: "You Sears service has been rescheduled for 9/8 8:00 - 12:00 AM" So it is now September 8th and again we had a no show service call. Our attempt to speak with a manager ended up with her charlie hanging up on us after we asked what was going to be done to resolve the issue We were respectful and no profanity was used, so the hangup was very unprofessional. Our microwave has not worked now for 10 weeks. This is clearly not acceptable service and we have given up on Sears Appliance Repair. Our area in S. Arizona needs a reliable appliance repair shop. If you are considering a starting up a business, I suggest that you consider starting up one in Sierra Vista. You would dominate Sears Appliance with their incompetence and poor performance.Service: Oven repair
DO NOT BUY COVERAGE!! IT IS THROWING MONEY AWAY!!!! Frustrating and upsetting experience!!! My microwave stopped working in mid August. I called in to set up appointment. The technician came in and ordered parts. It took days for parts to get here. When they did arrive I had to schedule yet another appointment. More days went by. The technician came back and only installed one part. The microwave did not turn on. He said he had to order more parts. Weeks went by and i kept calling asking about the parts. First they said that the parts had been ordered but not yet shipped and that they would escalate the concern. I called again and an hour after being transferred from department to department, they said that "due to a system glitch" the parts order was cancelled and that the repair was showing as completed on my microwave. I told them that all this time I had been waiting for parts that were never going to be shipped out. I have wasted so much time and their only remedy was to send out another technician to start the process all over again. Ive called numerous 800 numbers, even called the local store, and here we are on the 21st of September, my service appointment is until the 28th, and now to wait a few more weeks to see if this will get resolved. After 20 years of buying protection agreements I had never had to use it and now that I have to use it its been a horrible experience.
All of our kitchen appliances were purchased at Sears. We have always loved the service until this year. Our 4 yr old dishwasher leaked and after 3 visits we spent a month listening to lies which we later found out a gasket needed was no longer manufactured and finally were told we could replace it Because we live in a small town, we are dependent on sears installation which is part of their warranty when 3 attempts are made to repair. Well Sierra Vista store closed and we found out in Tucson that no one thought to negotiate with their installers contracts so we in SE Arizona could get installation services and take away the old appliance. So we had a choice to get our own plumber for the wonderful reimbursement of $169.99 which we will receive in 7 to 30 days. Conveniently no one yet has mentioned hauling away the old dishwasher. But they called to get back all the parts we had received to fix the old dishwasher. I have been without a dishwasher now for 6 weeks because in 4 phone calls in 2 weeks no one would admit to me they couldn't get one of the parts and start the process to replace. No more Sears warranties for me. I bought appliance insurance.
Scheduled a appointment. Took off from work, sat at my home for 5 hours, no technician. Even gave a 1 hour grace period. Didn’t even have the courtesy, respect or professionalism to call to state they will be late. Call the local Sears to get told first he’s on the way, then he be there soon, then he’s finishing up. Then stated be there in 10 minutes, and he’s calling you now. Waited no call. Then service desk on the line say, he should have called to state he would be late! “Should’ve, Could’ve, Would’ve” A hour later no Representative, No Phone Call! Call service desk get transferred twice, repeat all information again. For them to tell me no technician is coming. Reschedule me for Monday. Tell me I won’t be charged! Their rationale is ridiculous, I lost a day of work which is 6 times the $104. Now, I will lose a second day! #Wasting#VeteransTime
1st tech who showed up, took it apart, assessed and ordered parts. Due to personal reasons he rescheduled return date 3x. Another tech came, made a different assessment without disassembling. Parts came in tech came on time. Bruce did a great job repairing our dryer. Efficient, courteous & professional.
Impossible to schedule an appointment because of how their credit card payment online is setup. Will not allow Po Box addresses even though that is my billing address. Credit card would not accept my home address which was the service address. Sears transferred. me to the actual company that would be doing the work. They refused to take payment manually so it was impossible to make an appointment...and...it was obvious that they couldn't care less.
Armand was a great serviceman. He did an excellent job, was professional and courteous. the previous serviceman, Kevin, was ineffective. He did not listen to me and the concerns I had about the ice maker not working properly. He said there was nothing wrong with the ice maker, which had a problem with decreased production in ice cubes in the past couple months. He said he had never heard of anything like that happening. Also, it would have been great if I had his supervisor's name and telephone number. I can only call using the general 800 number with no name.
A great appliance repair, a great service person. Kept us in the loop as to where he was and how soon he would be here. Courteous, and informative. Very knowledgeable of our product and also of your Home Warranty that you offer to customers. Would not hesitate to call again for any needs we may have with our Sears appliances or any others covered by our newly purchased warranty.
