My wife and I have purchased numerous items from this place. We have never been disappointed in the price of the products or the service. We have been shopping there for ten years and have come away with beautiful items such as stackable washer and dryer, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and a mattress for my daughter. I would highly recommend AF to anyone looking for a good deal on an appliance. Excellent place to shop.
Friendliness, willingness to help but not pressure us for sale was a winning combination of customer service! Daniel, Erica and Half of Tuna was unparalled at any other appliance store. I have shopped for several items in the last 6 months and this was by far the best experience. I am hard to please and give anyone a run for their money but they accomodated and addressed my every concern. I will BE BACK!
High priced garbage. Nobody helps you. Employees laying down on beds and mattresses. When you go up to them and ask for help, they start making up information. They tell you their scratch and dent items are new. You ask about warranty, and they tell you that you have to pay and buy warranty. Save yourself time and go elsewhere.
Employees are friendly & helpful but whoever puts info into the website definitely sugar coats everything. I traveled an hour and a half for what I thought was a good deal on a refrigerator. The description says a scratch and a dent on the front and a scratched and a dent on the side. No big deal our refrigerators covered with magnets anyway. When I get there to pick it up it looks like someone took out their frustrations on it with a hammer. A total waste of time gas and toll money!
First time at this location , purchased two appliances . Danielle and his staff made a great impression with customer service- I walked out very pleased with my two appliances.
Bought this snowblower on sale for $299.99 every other store was selling it for $679.99 and more. This snow blower is Great it does the job, I want to thank all the sales people at the Highway 22 Plainfield NJ store for all the help and putting this snow blower together and loading it in my SUV. Thank You Guys
William was an amazing help. He answered all our questions. He is a funny and caring guy who seems to love his job. He was good with the kids. He has amazing customer service. With the wonderful shopping experience we will definitely be returning customers.
I bought a dual GE gas 27" washing machine dryer from here, I had to pick up myself and when i brought it home it never worked. The washing machine never cycled through properly and the clothes always came out soaking wet. We don't have a repair team and all sales are final, so the machine that came here broke. This place is the worst never buy anything from.. NEVER GO here, spoke with Daniel says " no returns", sorry we cant help you. " Should have bought a protection plan for 350$."
Just wanted to shout out the new store manager, Michael, for promptly resolving an ongoing issue that involved the ordering of refrigerator drawers for a refrigerator that I had purchased way back in July 2021. After getting the run around for five months with an assistant manager, in December, Michael took over the store and gave us his word that he would reach out to the right people and that we would get our drawers delivered to our home within a month. In two weeks, the refrigerator drawers arrived at our home. So, what had previously taken five months to arrive before, took only two weeks with Michael. Thank you so much Michael for being a man of your word and providing us with a positive and completely different experience with American Freight. Up to this point, I have had no problems with the appliances that I have purchased at American Freight but because of Michael will consider making future purchases at this store.
I did two transactions with this store. The first one was a dishwasher GE slate. I purchased the product online and I picked it up a few days later. When I arrived to the store they show me the same unit but different color of what I purchased online. After some conversation with the manager I get another more expensive unit in order I don't waste my trip to New Jersey. Fine. The outcome was good even when they did a mistake. The second transaction was a washer and dryer. I purchased online for delivery. In the website it was not very clear if the unit was gas or electric. The difference between the two units is one single letter in the article's number. By mistake I choose the wrong one. I had the appliance delivered to my home as per their delivery policy of this company they left the unit in the street, they don't go up any stairs. Then the frustrating experience that I had the wrong unit at home. I called the store to beg for a refund or even a store credit, and it is interesting how this store works. There is a manager: Edward. If he is out of the store or if he took a free day you are in bad luck. He seems the only person who handle situations like this. Once I can reach this person, very calmly denied any attempt to look for a solution to my problem. The policy is no returns. It was not a good explanation when I told the website was not clear enough, or even that I made a mistake in good faith and I was willing to lose all delivery fees I paid. I get stuck with the wrong unit. Probably the only way to make business with this people is going to the store, making sure that you pick up the right unit, and leave the place as soon as you can.
