There was a nice lady who helped us find and buy a refrigerator. She checked on us twice and seemed very friendly. But........delivery......that's where it took a bad turn. I have never bought a new or "scratch and dent" appliance before. Yes, I am almost 60, but my life flow never flew in that direction??...the big dude who was working delivery day was not friendly at all. We were told we had a delivery window but no guarantees. Our window was 1130am to 1230pm. At 3 p.m., I was getting nervous. This sales associate wouldn't even look at my husband?? And talked gruff to me on the phone. End of story we got our refrigerator but with a new large scratch down the front. So I just put a magnet on the scratch. The inside is perfect!!!
When I first came in the store in person it took forever for someone to even acknowledge me. Found a piece that I liked. Shopped around and couldn’t find nothing else I liked. I ended up calling back to place the order for the couch set that was $1099 plus taxes, needed delivery $109 and the warranty $200. Wanted to pay the full amount upfront as I stated from the beginning !!! Left a message for a call back from a certain sales person and never received it . No one ever followed up !! Who would beg someone to take their hard earning money. Ended up taking my business elsewhere !!
We bought new appliances and Linda was our sales lady! She was amazing in finding us exactly what we wanted. She took a task that I dreaded and made it fun and enjoyable! The appliances we bought are great, aside from a few small scratches in spots that really aren't seen, for example, the side of the stove, the appliances work like brand new and look great!
Purchased a stainless refrigerator from American Freight. Kenneth was an awesome help with picking out the fridge and leading us through the sales process! Thank you!
I needed a refrigerator my LG quit working and was $2000 to fix. Went to American Freight they have a huge selection of furniture and appliances to chooses from. It is a scratch and dent store so you have to look over your choice and make sure that’s what you want. The Staff is amazing. They went above and beyond. I will definitely go back. Only thing I would say bad is the financing that is offered. Not bad as long as you pay it before interest starts accruing It is 170% yes you read it right it’s not a typo 170%.
We have to give a complete SHOUT OUT to Linda from the Portage American Freight. She was the most pleasant customer service representative that I have ran into for a long time. She took the time to help us without hounding us. We have always gone to American Freight for our appliances, but in the future we will ALWAYS ask if Linda is working that day. Her smile will make anyones day better!! Thanks again!!!!

When I bought my refrigerator, delivery was late. I called Linda & she handled it immediately. When my oven died, I went to American Freight 1st. Because of Linda. The oven I bought had a problem not covered by warranty. Linda & Kenneth promised to make it right and they were true to their word! Linda even saw to it that my replacement was delivered earlier than expected. I will definitely return to American Freight for my appliances & furniture. Thanks again, Linda & Kenneth! Stellar customer service!
Great customer service, awesome prices. Well worth the visit. Check their ads out on their website then visit the store, you won;t be disappointed.
