The Seaside Heritage Center
is OPEN this summer and welcomes everyone to stop in
The Seaside Heritage Center building is located at 2773 Main Street, it is open to the public during the months of June to September of each year since the year of 2000. The Seaside Heritage Center includes a Museum, Visitor Information Center and a CAP site (free Wi-Fi).
The building cornerstone was laid in 1895 and dedicated as the Seaside Lodge #70 IOOF from Joshua Nickerson and his wife, Rebecca. The hall was built in Four Square architectural style with two and a half stories under a hip roof with a widow’s walk at the crest. Other prominent features are the three pediment dormer windows. One of the dormer windows is adjacent to the Queen Anne style tower on the building façade, and the others are on each side of the building. Note the eyebrow multi-paned window in the tower.
