This is one of the nicest grass strips I’ve seen. To add, we ran into one of the people managing the airport and he was very friendly. Awesome pilot’s campground that’s fully equipped for staying the night think bathrooms that don’t stink, a well that has drinkable water, bicycles, and a courtesy car. The grass was immaculately kept. I’d highly recommend this airport!
Today was my first ever landing at a grass strip. The field is easy to spot, and fun to fly into. 23S immaculately cared for, has EXCELLENT tie-down spots, and has very clear information about why it's usually better to take off on runway 34 instead of 16. They have some awesome antique cars as courtesy vehicles, and some very nice bicycles if you prefer to get some exercise it's about 2 miles to town. I highly recommend making it a stop if you're flying around Montana!
